Agreed, Jazzygirl. Honestly I think the Basketball gods are smiling right now. Beard and Pringles' ball is an affront to all things good in the game. They needed to get taken out.

...yep, deal with Thompson, Love and Nance in the paint. More likely West since he has the smarts. Pachulia isn't mobile enough and McGee is one or two plays from doing his usual Shaqtin' A Fool appearances. They do have Looney and Bell to spell Green.

I think KD is one of our targets this offseason actually. The reality is that the Warriors can’t afford everyone without MAJOR repeater tax penalties, and wouldn’t be too awfully upset if he didn’t re-sign.

But what do you do with Ball, PG, George, BI, Durant, Kuzma, Randle

Talk about needing some bulk... two of those might come off the bench, or one gets traded for a front line center.

Lots of options and directions to go for Maginka

LOL at nearly everyone in this thread writing golden state off after 1st quarter/halftime of the game

its not like we havent seen a sluggish first half from the warriors before either. guess that's why they play all 48 haha

To be fair, they were playing terribly. I didn't write them off, but I was certainly annoyed by their crap. They've been a storm of bravado for years here and yet when met with a challenge, they were getting alligator arms and letting Rockets role players out work them.

yeah, i think he means "we'll see about that, pringles". there's just as good odds of gs improving as houston this offseason. and gordon and harden could always eat their way out of the league at strip club buffets.

houston goes 3-27 instead of 0-27 from three, and they win. think about that. it's like a comet missed the earth by 8 yards or something.

Imagining how Chris Paul feels this morning makes me smile really big. Does that make me a bad person?

I did that on purpose, every game. It’s the anti-jinx. It worked for games 6 and 7, prove me wrong.

Thank you basketball gods, everything is right again. But damn do the Warriors look vulnerable. They'll probably beat the Cavs in 5, Lebron has had a great playoff run but his supporting cast doesn't have the defensive pedigree to make life tough for the 4 Allstars.

Well Rockets lost in a very predictable way :

    - MDA can't manage his roster minutes all season long
    - CP3 getting injured
    - Harden choking .

    No surprise here .

unless they land lebron, i think this was houston's best shot. save the ill-timed paul injury (which, honestly, needs to be factored in at this point), they had a dream season. warriors lacked focus and had injuries, plus their young role players weren't quite ready and their old ones started aging out. meanwhile, houston got uncharacteristic health from anderson and gordon and unusually good play from pj tucker and gerald green. not to mention that the league (sadly) didn't know what to do with the switch-everything d. i really thought this was their shot.

that said, no one appears to be in line to knock them out of the "hope gs has more injuries" contender spot, so maybe we'll just see this again next year. i just know capela and ariza will be making more money, paul won't be younger, and harden is due for a knee injury given his body type and playing style. not to mention that tucker and gordon can't play that many minutes with their body composition again, imo.

so yeah, wc: now's the time for a fringe wc contender to make some bold moves to compete right now. us? maybe. portland? minny? utah? someone needs to go grab a big name and go to war with hou/gs.

If they look vulnerable the Cavs are already in the grave.

He really doesn't get it. It's like he's clueless about the limitations of his approach.
