His focus needs to get Ingram and Ball to play more games than they did last season. Getting them more meat on their bones would be beneficial too.
Why would he want to be an assistant for the Knicks over his role with the Lakers who are in a better situation competitively going forward and for Fizdale over Walton? Unless they throw a lot more money at him.
More money and probably a bigger role on the team. I mean I'm sure he loves working with Luke. But if the money is better, role is bigger, and going from LA to NY isn't all that bad either...
The problem is if he goes to the Knicks...chances are they fire the coach within months including his assistants...with the Lakers he has some stability at least. But he might make a lot more money, so its understandable to take the risk.
Possibly next in line for head coach if the position opens whereas Shaw is here already. Big market too.
Damn, wasn't he one of our better assistants? I hope we fill the opening with a defensive specialist. I feel like it'll end up being filled by Richard Jefferson or something.
Stan Van Gundy doesn't have a job right now. There are rumors that he'll retire, but I'd still give him a call just to gauge his interest.
Someone more low key than Stan. How about fish? I think he'd fit in well and is a Laker legend. Has won rings and knows what it takes. Can help out lonzo and the guys.
https://www.silverscreenandroll.com...lakers-jud-buechler-hire-next-assistant-coach Just a blog post really, but brought up a good idea with Richard Jefferson.
I want to frame this quote. I'm not sure "we" did. There are many point guards in the league that owe Fisher a debt of gratitude...hell, they should owe him 10% of their salary for the contracts he got some of them. His big shots wouldn't have been needed had he not let guards the caliber of Troy Hudson demolish us.
