Don't want to take over Hart's thread to talk about Lavar but he really screwed over his other two kids just because he was on some power trip. And now one of them can't even get an invite to the draft combine because he's just not good enough. UCLA has one of the better basketball programs and it would have definitely helped him.
Lavar overplayed his hand. His run is over. It will be official when the younger one who looks like a girl flames out. Once that happens, he will no longer be relevant.
what can that Ball bro do now if he can't get into the combine? Beg for individual work outs with teams?
Not a whole lot. With all this "have to succeed at Pro level of basketball and keep Pops's dream alive" weight dumped on them while still teen agers .... it wouldn't surprise me if one or the other starts losing interest in this life path chosen for them. Reality may set in, especially with Gelo. Though he genuinely seems to just want a chance to play with Lonzo again. That ship is heading out to sea.
One of the things I'm really glad he's working on. Being able to attack guys off the dribble more to go along with his other skill sets would be amazing
Lebron put lonzo on his workout program when he was going into his 2nd year... That's why we're not seeing anything.
We will find out when pre-season comes around. I'm personally not convinced that Lonzo has the mindset to be great. Maybe thats just me. He isn't obsessed with basketball and thats exactly what it takes IMO.
He doesn’t even know what a proper pull up is, so how could he possibly know how to lead an NBA franchise? But he’s a solid role player
It is a feeling. There is IMO too much noise around him...the rap music, the family show etc. I can't definitely say since I don't know him. He seems to enjoy himself which is a good (and mature) thing. But in order to be a GREAT player in the NBA, you really have to be obsessed with basketball and go beyond your limits. You have more than 400 great NBA players and all of them work hard to a certain degree. It usually takes somebody who is insane to become great. Somebody with no other hobbies, insanely competitive spirit etc. I don't see it with Lonzo yet.
He had to deal with a TON of noise he didn't even ask for last year... His moms stroke included, learning a 3rd system in 3 different years. Dude just got out of high school two years ago, dealt with injuries and is obviously still maturing. I have less than a 5% worry about lonzo. Wayyyyyyyyy too early to judge him like that. Now markelle fultz, go right ahead lol.
...like the one in your avi? Never seen anyone like him, never will. On topic: Hart is solid already. Better handles soon? Higher FG%?
