@sirronstuff Oh its fine, I don't mind you giving me a hard time at all. It's all in good fun. I get all my GIFs from giphy.com as their selection and ability to add GIFs to your favorites on that site is top notch. I don't know how else I could get those links like this for example - https://media.giphy.com/media/t8CsDRZr2El5S/200w.webp on another website unless I just search for it via Google. Is that what you suggest?
I don’t have a solution for you at this time. I’m just a professional complainer LOL Giphy is amazing, but I guess the format they have just isn’t showing up everywhere
If PG stays in OKC he has to realize that once Melo's contract is up they will look at reducing their payroll. So next year is their window. OKC will be Westbrook, PG, Adams and Roberson for several years after that. In a few years when Westbrook and PG are in their 30's they probably will not even make the playoffs. If PG goes to LA the Lakers have the money to pay him and potentially one more star or him and 3 or 4 solid rotation players. Then in a few years when the young core has matured they will be a top 5 team with several of their players still a couple years away from hitting their primes. The Lakers future looks much more attractive than OKC.
Watching a round table yesterday with Paul Pierce (take him with a grain of salt of course always), I think the pundits all agree with you that the Lakers have much more upside than OKC who will be strapped if he re-signs there and Melo opts in (with all signs pointing to him doing so). Magic and Rob and have their pitch ready, I'm sure. We'll see how it all goes down.
I'm hoping PG is saying all this PC nonsense as a way of covering for his neck. Recall that during the tampering allegations, there were insiders/reporters stating that if the Lakers did indeed violate the non-tampering rules, that the penalty could even be that George was denied passage to LA when he became a free agent. Also any trade that had PG land in LA would be denied by the league offices. So if PG is truly interested in his safe passage to LA, it would be in his best interest to be "hell-bent" on feeding the media, the public and the NBA league offices the nonsense he's been spouting in order to make sure that the Lakers avoid getting slapped on the wrist for a 3rd time. Balrog P vs Gandalf the Silver Btw this is what I noticed with my iphone. Link A and B do not show up on the iphone, but Link C & D do. Link A: https://media.giphy.com/media/t8CsDRZr2El5S/200w.webp Link B: https://i.giphy.com/media/t8CsDRZr2El5S/200w.webp Link C: https://media.giphy.com/media/t8CsDRZr2El5S/giphy.gif Link D: https://i.giphy.com/t8CsDRZr2El5S.gif @Battle Tested20 you provided us with Link A as the link you use to post images on LB via your PC. Well instead, click on the actual gif/picture in that link and that will redirect you to a new link: https://giphy.com/gifs/jack-nicholson-t8CsDRZr2El5S?utm_source=media-link&utm_medium=landing&utm_campaign=Media Links&utm_term= Once you're there, then left click the enlarged gif/pic you want to post and highlight the "Copy image address" option in the pop up menu. Essentially, the link you just copied is Link C. Then paste that link into the "image url" field here on LB and your gifs should finally show up on iphones.
Man I didn’t intend to start this whole webm thing again. But yes, it’s been established that webm files don’t show up on iPhone. I often don’t see them on reddit threads as they get posted there a lot. It’s not a big deal, if it doesn’t effect most people here, I just occasionally have to ask what image battle posted to maybe get the full context of a post. I use LB like 99.99% on my iPhone, my laptop is a piece of junk I got Black Friday 2011 for cheap and it’s used exclusively for downloading things and for backing up my iPhone. Regarding the PG part of your post, I agree, and I think many here haven’t bought what PG has been selling all season. Not even day one in OKC with all his glowing praise, yet continuing to refuse to rule out becoming a free agent and leaving every time he spoke. This season in OKC sure didn’t look fun aside from like maybe a month there. And I don’t know, he may not seem like a guy that wants to be “the man” outwardly, but he’s still doing Gatorade commercials, has his own shoe and such, and kind of got lost in the shuffle this season buried behind Westbrook. It was only like 2 or 3 seasons ago he was battling LeBron in the playoffs and pretty much matching him the entire series. I don’t think he’s gotten that far away from wanting to be in that position again or having that still be appealing. Maybe not to carry a team again, but certainly to be more of a main focus.
I've waited a long time to figure this out.. *If I did the directions correctly these should now also show up for iphone users*
In his exit presser, seems to me that Sam is trying to push Melo out... Presti pretty much confirmed that trading for George/Melo had everything to do with Russ signing that 5 year extension while he was in his prime. He said OKC wouldn't get a hour meeting with free agents, so trading for PG was opportunistic since they wouldn't be able field a player like that in his prime via free agency. Also, they're wanting to avoid KDeuce 2.0...."interesting" summer ahead. Btw here are the numbers and breakdown of a maxed out George with OKC (w/bird rights) vs LA (w/o bird rights).
One interesting tidbit is that Presti mentioned how PG is extension eligible and how they would try to breach that topic this summer. If that is the case, then George's 20.7M will be on the books next year and that saves Okc roughly 10M in team salary and north of 40M+ if you consider punitive tax bill ($4.25:1 repeater tax rate for teams 15-20M above tax threshold and OKC with Melo opting into his 28M and George's extension with year 1 of his new contract being his player opted into 20M will lead to a team salary of roughly 140M being about 15-20M above the 123M tax threshold.) Typical Bennett...already putting out feelers to see if George will take less in the immediate future via the extension route. Meanwhile the Lakers will want to explore the extension route as well, cause that would mean we traded for his bird rights.
Honestly....I'm bracing myself for PG13 to not be here. And looking at those numbers...I might be OK with it. I don't know if I wanna pay Paul George 30M+ to be our Andre Iguodala in a couple of years...
