I would take the top 6 player without a doubt . You can lean towards winning titles again or be sentimental and become the Denver Nuggets . We have sucked enough , it's time to speed the rebuilding up if possible , especially with the C-bags being in great position for the next upcoming seasons . It's all about 17 and 16 , the rest doesn't matter.
I still think his health is fine , he just doesn't want (rightfully so) wasting his prime with this team . Weird way to "say" it for a .. weird guy
If he felt comfortable playing, he’d be playing. I’d really prefer seeing him healthy first too before giving up squat. So much is on the line, and I don’t see us in a position to take “chances” vs sure things. It’s like betting the farm on Demarcus Cousins. I just don’t think that’s smart. But to be fair, Kawhi is the better player.
Someone here stated as if they knew for certain that his specific type condition with the tendon(s?) and quad muscle situation doesn't get fully better ever. So there's that as well. Then again I remember reading about CP2's knee problems when he was still with New Orleans.
I'm sure we will do our due diligence when checking out his health. Send a small army of doctors at him to make sure he checks out.
SAS FO had a pretty bad offseason and he's aware the team won't be able to bring a superstar to play with him
