To be fair, Randle is worth way more than what he was worth last year. He's proven to be a reliable 20/10 player over an extended stretch and he's shown that he could be a small ball 5. Those players don't grow on trees. I think Randle's true value, at least to the Lakers and how we want to play, is closer to $20M while PG's is closer to $25M.

Lol @ Westbrook with the Lonzo-esque shooting percentage.

Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook has been fined $10,000 by NBA and issued technical foul for incident with Utah’s Rudy Gobert in Game 4 last night.

I never understood what she saw in Phil because that dude is a fossil, weird and ugly to boot!

There always was 0% chance of him staying in OKC. Lakers fans have been so scarred from previous turn downs from other stars the last 5 years, we have turned into Milwakee Buck fans when it comes to thinking we have a shot at elite talent in their prime.

We were once up 3-1 against PHX ;)
So were the Dubs against Kang.
Im not counting them out yet (even though nothing would make me happier... beside HOU being gone from the PO as well).

Given Westbrook's style, which tier 1/2 star would actually be a good pair for WB?

Durant worked because he's just so freaking good and can get his shot whenever he wants it. But other than him, maybe Klay Thompson? Like Kenzo said, Gobert (if he's at tier 1/2). Honestly there'd need to be a clearer definition of what 1/2 tier actually encompasses to answer that. Someone like Gordon Hayward might work if he's 1/2 tier.

I was thinking Gobert too. He really needs a great defender who doesn’t require touches on offense other than catching lobs. DeAndre Jordan would fit also.

is kevin love still a "star". he can rebound and shoot, doesn't need the ball a lot, can initiate the break, has experience playing with demanding/petulant stars.

i agree on gobert, though i thinks steven adams does a lot of what a westbrook teammate needs to do.

honestly, though, i wouldn't pair westbrook with another star. i'd surround him with a bunch of guys who will defend and at least 2-3 knockdown shooters, sorta like what houston was trying to do before they lucked into paul.
