Once Westbrook gets injured (which he will with his reckless play style) and Bennett is trying to save money trading away or letting go of his players like he did with ibaka, harden, Durant etc. Paul will be all by himself on a team he never considered going to. It's his funeral.

Every time OKC build a lead last night, Westbrook take it as opportunity to statpad taking stupid jumpers. It's gonna cost them at some point. From 9:00mins remaining, PG hasn't taken a single shot because there was no need to which was bizarre. PG could've easily gone to 45 pts.

I hope PG struggles. OKC struggle a lot when he's off.

Ugh...fricking Utah just had to lose their last regular season game which gave OKC homecourt advantage....

Not only that...but Houston didn't look too great against Minny...if OKC turns it up at the right time, they may push Houston to 6 or 7 games in the 2nd round

If that happens...kiss Paul George goodbye.

He has at least one off game in every series. I hope it comes soon. Perhaps in game 5? So the Jazz then can take a 3-2 lead. I know WB will continue to shoot sub-40ish with Gobert inside because he'll force it from perimeter where he is atrocious. Melo is just too old to consistently compete and he's a pain to watch on the defensive end. So one way or the other, he'll gonna cost them some quarters or games even.

The point is, PG is gonna make or break his team in this round. He consistently show up and they'll cruise past Utah, he takes an off night and watch them unravel.

He didn’t take a shot in the last 9 mins because he was substituted with 7 mins to go due to a back/hip problem. Hardly fair to blame Westbrook for not involving him from the bench.

Melo is in a no win situation. He doesn’t take too many shots so he doesn’t score a huge amount of points, tries to play in the flow of the game while moving the ball and played some pretty good defence (7 defensive rebounds, 3 Steele and 2 blocks) and I see it written everywhere that he played a crap game. I’m not sure what people expect from the 3rd or 4th best person on a team.

Can't wait to see them crash and burn and it's inevitable...OKC just has too many bad habits to ignore. Too many chefs in the kitchen all wanting to wear the same hat.

Really disappointed in Utah's defense for Game 1. They allowed 116 points which is an anomaly. They allowed OKC to shoot better than 50% from 3...that's an anomaly. Snyder will figure it out and when the adjustments come, OKC will have a series on their hands. OKC was just hitting shots they normally don't make at that high a clip all season.

They looked good last night, but OKC ain't that bad a b****. The booze will wear off and then we'll see them for what they really are.

    And Playoff P...really?

Bruh, first the "recruiting" comments and now giving himself a nickname like "Playoff P"...dude should fit right in with Zo "Migos and Future are real hip-hop and Nas ain't" Ball...

I want PG in P&G as the next Lakers fan, but please STFU and just ball out. He shot at a OKC/Seattle record setting clip last night. He's streaky as heck, so that will come back to his regular season avgs eventually. But if he continues to shoot like that, then I hope it continues right into next season with Lakers P&G on. And if not, then we still got a Kawntingency plan.

Utah allowed 30 points in the paint only. I’m with you on that I don’t think OKC will be able to shoot so well from 3 over a series. So in the next game when Paul George doesn’t go crazy from 3, I’m curious to see where OKC’s points come from.

I really think Adams is the most important player in this series - if he can get Gobert in foul trouble while attacking the offensive boards and due to rolling hard on the Westbrook PnR, I think OKC got it. If gobert can lock the paint down and stay out of foul trouble this could be a long series.

The Thunder and Jazz played game 1 Sunday. They don’t play game 2 until tomorrow... Is the NBA seriously that soft now? 2 days off between first round games? This isn’t the freakin finals where media need to travel in droves and such, at this rate the finals will be in mid-July. Lame, boring, all for tv ratings, pathetic.

I'm certain he was out in the 4th due to the hip problem in the last 2 mins or less. Yeah, absolutely positive.

Even if okc shooting comes back to earth, utah offense is severely lacking. Rubio looks like true rubio, the kind that cant shoot worth a lick n not steph like when he plays us

He wants to be a Laker. Like Steve Blake wanted to be a Laker. They play their best against the Lakers, then they get signed and proceed to suck

Utah held them to under 100 pts. They held OKC to 40% Fg shooting and about 30% (11-35) from 3.

Playoff P kinda turned into Cancun P...

Anyways, Utah try to handle business in Salt Lake City (7th best home record in the league) and soon we'll be able to call him Laker P.
