Nah, he’s a decent 3rd string rookie. I’d be fine with us bringing Caruso back as long as we got rid of Ennis

I'm on board to bring back Caruso, Wear and Andre. All combined would make what, less than 2.5 or somewhere around there?

I don't think that's bad cheap insurance to fill roster out and get ready for Max players. Hopefully at worst one and bring back Randle with another solid FA.

I'm concerned we have to decline or release all of our cheap young talent to make the salary room. I won't be a fan of that.

All? There's literally no way we are waiving guaranteed 4 years of Kuzma, Hart, Ball, and Ingram. The only people who are non-guaranteed or need qualifying offers are Wear, Caruso, Zubac, Bryant, and Ennis (and Julius of course).

Otherwise our expirings are Lopez, Isaiah, Pope, and Frye. You worried about losing those guys if we waive our rights to them?

renouncing is part of the game

I don't have to like it

Especially if it involves our ability to keep promising young talent we've been developing. But I'm sure if they make that call, it's because they think what we're getting exceeds what we are giving up.

I mean we're talking about renouncing Wear, Caruso, and Ennis to have a shot at max players. Why in the world is that question? :D

Those three could even still come back for a minimum deal, it just means we give a year of their Bird Rights development.

Our expirings too. If ol whatshisname drags his feet to let his magnanimousnous shine, it could mean others snatch them up before we can bring them back.

Hopefully FA's make their decisions rather quickly this year so we can move on to filling out our championship roster lmbo

The vast majority of FAs will wait for them to set the market anyway. There's not a lot of teams with cap space, it doesn't make a bunch of sense for a guy like Lopez to sign before LeBron/George unless someone offers him a massive contract and if that happens, then he was going to leave anyway because we're not offering him that.

I hope he gets a chance to compete for a roster spot. I like Caruso, dude keeps improving and besides lacking some athleticism he does everything else right to put himself in good positions. Good length, Fiesty w/leadership intangibles and has a heart/motor. Would be super cheap.

Hope wear and Andre Ingram can even have a shot as our last reserves. They know the system and all 3 combined would make what less than 3 mill?

we need legit talents sorry carusi, ennis, etc are cheap cause they suck to various degrees, not asking for our backups to be all stars but we can n should expect better from our backups especially at the pg spot

Let's leave Ennis out of this lol. Caruso is 24 is all I'm saying... And for a minimum deal to possibly play 5 min, create competition, I don't think its a bad move. Y'all forget him out playing fox in summer league ;) I do not mind standing alone, #GiveCarusoA$hot lolz.

    Bump from the abyss.

    https://www.nba.com/lakers/releases...-for-usa-basketball-world-cup-qualifying-team
That team is hot trash though. Caruso and David Stockton are the only actual NBA players on the team. They played the first game yesterday against Mexico and lost, 70-78. Mexico started the game 18-0.

I saw a tweet the other day that he was chosen for that team and I was like, “hmmm...”. Then I saw that they lost 78-70 to Mexico last night and I was like, ohhhh...”, it all suddenly clicked.

Wow AC you were 2 spots left to page 3 ... no love. OK why did I not know until now early into my time shifted Lakes vs Blazers viewing .... that Alex Caruso was the Defensive Player of the Year in the G League?

It was never talked about here that I recall and that is a major accomplishment. Was anyone else aware he won that? I had to back it up and play it again when I first heard it.

People are giving Bonga a hard time and questioning if he’s really 18 years old.

Did we all forget Caruso looks 40 years old as well????
