I think the main competitors against us for PG will be the Sixers. PG makes more sense for them than someone like Lebron. He would become their go to scorer and has an easier path to the playoffs and to an All-NBA spot.

The Sixers are an interesting spot for him. But any team with PG as their go to scorer won’t be an offensive powerhouse. At most I think he becomes the 2nd option on attack there. Embid and Simmons will be better players than him pretty soon.

It's OK Weezy. This is for the greater Lakers good. Besides yet to be heard from and coming are CP2's playoff injury exit and karma again catching up to Harden for his s****y style of play and his annoying beard. Not to mention 'Antoni not being able to win when it gets tough in half court playoff ball. (I hope)

Man, this 4th quarter D by Westbrook on Harden has been impressive so far. Shutting him down! Westbrook closing the game out with 4 bench players. This team would be scary with Roberson against anyone in the playoffs. When they lock in like that, good luck. Grant, Patterson from the bench add some nice defensive firepower as well.

Melo in with 4:50 remaining. Let's see if they implode.

The rockets are going all out, come on now. This is playoff atmosphere.

They are pressing full court - you don't press full court unless you're going all out.

So we’d need both Miami and Memphis to beat OKC to have a chance at them missing the playoffs. It’s in both Miami and Memphis’s best interest to lose.

Oh well. Hopefully OKC still falls to #7 or #8 for a tougher first round matchup.

If I'm GSW, I'm hoping like hell OKC isn't the 7th seed. They have a big chance to knock GSW out without Curry. Durant just scored 40, Draymond got a triple double and the team shot 46% from 3 and still lost to the Pelicans.

Hou probably ain't happy to meet them in the first round either. They're a tough out.

In regards to the PG sweepstakes, it's probably best OKC finish 5th or 6th and play Utah or Portland in the first round. Losing to the top two seeds in a hard fought first round gives PG an irrational belief that they're better and with Roberson they could of been a contender. Losing to Utah or Portland kind of pops the bubble.

I have no problem giving credit where credit is due. Westbrook closed that out excellently and stole Harden's lunch money in the 4th quarter. His P&R defending partners in Grant and Patterson were great, they forced the ball out of Harden's hands and Westbrook shut him down on 3 or 4 individual iso's down the stretch. Diluting that performance by saying they weren't going hard is false.

Im speaking on signing a 4 or 5 year contract. I thought that was implied. The best player will be 30 in november and the style of his play will ensure he declines a little faster than most. Melo is clearly on his decline and is 34 in a few weeks. Adams is young and about to be in his prime. The rest of the guys you listed are not even worth mentioning outside of roberson. The lakers are only getting better and better. Outside of Adams, nobody on the thunder with major impact are going to be better.

F****** Rockets, bunch of chokers. They aren’t going anywhere in the playoffs with CP2 and Harden and his inevitable disappearing act, plus ‘Antoni fools gold.

Dude, svtzr introduced himself on GD the first time he posted. That's not smack old man:Magic2: Here's the smack, except for his positive postings for Deng, I never see any positive post slant for the Lakers.

Man I messed up bad on the Deng hope, but that was in the first few months of his contract.

I’ve posted plenty on the Lakers, and the young guys that I’m really impressed with - but it’s tough to post much when our season is over and most of our guys are cruising or being shut down.

I even think we got a solid shot at Leonard/PG and Lebron this offseason. I just think PG by himself isn’t the big needle mover we need - team him with Lebron and it’s very formidable.

PG is a polarising player - today he continued his shooting slump. If he was a laker player he would of been killed since the all star break here.
