I have a hunch (that's all it is) .... that Kuz is going to be the first young gun since before Randle and Clarkson were drafted to "ask" to and then actually work out with Kobe to learn the finer technical as well the mental aspects of the pro game this summer. I wonder who was the last young Laker player with talent, if anyone, that actually sought him out to work with him in person in those areas? Every last one of these relatively taller guys could benefit. Especially with back to the basket games. I bet Kuz does. Because you actually see him in games trying to use Kobe moves.
For the record I don't have a problem with what Josh did and I don't think Kuzma does either. He just wouldn't do it his college team was in that situation. I also don't think its a problem because Rob went to the game as well and met up with Josh afterwards. Just teammates giving each other hard times like they have all year, haha.
Kyle played Donovan Mitchell to a standstill, they pretty much cancelled each other out. It was Rubio that killed us (like usual)....??? Kyle has been very consistent as a starter and also efficient. This off season he needs to work on 3 things, defensive positioning, handling, and getting stronger. He deserves to start next year if we don't get LeBron or George or both.
Just going back to that rookie three points made record someone posted a few pages back, those numbers were old. Kuz is currently at 154, but Dame had 185 in his. Donovan Mitchell actually has 175 with 7 games left. Steph had 166 in his.
True, but does he have the record for a non guard? He's a 6'10" pf/sf. Is he at least the record holder for rookie forwards?
We don't hang Conference Championship banners, so we don't look at awards by position to have something to be happy about. You're either the GOAT, or you're nothing.
Five quick points in OT... Brown/Jones on doubters: they said it was only Summer League...they said it was only Pre-season...now he did it for the most part in the regular season. What do they say now? Really dig those spin moves off the dribble out on the open floor. Just lets it rip on those J's.
Brown spoke of how Kuzma told Walton that he did care if he started or came off the bench... Great mentality and attitude. Will be paid big bucks someday if he stays healthy and progresses even more.
