still angry that AD reupped with that huge extension, was really hoping he would buck the trend and be a complete FA. with his injury history tho I cant blame him
Yeah I'd say so. Tonight makes 9 straight games of 20 points or more. 8 of those he had double doubles and the other one he had 9 boards. He really has improved his consistent strong play this year once he became a starter. The line tonight: 20 points, 10 boards, 70% shooting. That'll get it done. He also spearheaded our energy surge to push for the win this evening. His energy lifted the team and we got the W.
Is that worth a max? Do other teams consider that max worthy? If he plays the year out at 20/10 with a decent amount of wins - I wonder what Dallas does
I don’t know why it takes him a while to get angry sometimes, but when he gets angry, watch out. He went on a tear to get us the lead during that 18-2 run, bounced Noel around like he wasn’t even there.
No its not max worthy. Even though Randle seems to be a lock for 20/10 every night these days on insane shooting percentages, his overall impact isn't as great as his statline suggests it to be. His D needs work, he doesn't have range and he can't block shots. Especially shooting and rim protection are like the most important qualities of a big these days. It is astonishing how good Randle has finally become and how consistent he is. His attitude is great, his energy is solid most of the time now, his D has improved too. I don't think its near max money though, especially with teams being cash strapped for splashing out senseless money to mediocre players a couple of years ago.
I hope you are right purely from a cap standpoint. If we get two mega stars, we don't need Rob running out of money before he fills in the roster.
Weird game from him last night and it's sort of been his trend lately. He starts off with a big play or two and then quiets down for a long stretch. Then he turns it back on at some point later in the game. I think honestly he and most of the rest of the team are a little over it right now. They want to get to the summer as much as we can so they can start working on things and probably they're as curious about this summer's FA as we are. Maybe more curious because it affects their livelihood. So there's games left, but since they're out of the playoffs, I think some of the energy is just not there on a nightly basis that we saw back in January/February. And yet still he goes out and gets you a 20/10 game. Got to love his progress in consistency this season.
