I like Lopez for what he brings as far as professionalism... I've been forever harping on him being fed on the low block and have him go to work even if it seems like the next ice age is upon us before he finishes his move. Still can't get used to seeing a seven footer not named Nowitzki launching deep treys and averaging like 2-3 boards a game. All that said, Lopez is far from a detriment on the floor ways removed from the Sacres and Hibberts we've had prior.
He's cost us a few possessions just hoisting up threes, when we actually make plays when he's in the post or around the paint. Offensive boards, that pass to Julius, the dunk on Nurkic. We get it, you can shoot, but limit it to 2-3 a game, and focus on the paint, that's where we need him.
He's there to shoot threes and has a green light from Walton. That's his job so that the floor is spread. He's, unfortunately, one of the better shooters on the team so we need him to hoist. I'd prefer him in the post. I'm sure he'd prefer it in the post.
Slomo is not a 3 point shooter. He's a post player that can shoot 3's. We're better when he's in the post.
There you see what making FTs do for you... we made 11 of 12 and the Magic 11 of 19... we miss one more and they hit one more and its a L.
If gifs/memes were food, Sirron would annihilate world hunger. Anyways, Blo balled the f*** out... Must've been the hair... It's gotta be the hair! The rebounding thing is perplexing, but I recall reading somewhere that Zo said it is by design. Our bigs box out so that our wings can rebound and start the break right away. That's why Zo and guys like Hart have so many games with crazy rebounding stats. It's props to our guards, but props to Brook too for making that type of statistical sacrifice.
