it wasn't about 4 million. that's all i have to say.

as for george: he's one of my very favorite nba players, and i hope he sees like it you all do. i just won't blame him if he doesn't. kind of the reverse of the howard situation, where everyone here thought he should go to houston, and i thought it would turn out badly (which it did). i desperately want george to join the lakers; i just think it's a longshot.

Even more of a long shot if he goes deep into the playoffs. Meanwhile the Wolves look like they lost Butler with a knee injury and Kahwi is out. Thunder might make a deep run with fools gold and it might be enough for him to believe in OKC and stay.

The injuries to Butler and the continued abscess of Kawhi is an interesting development for OKC’s post season. Chances are OKC finishes 3rd or 4th in the RS now. I think those injuries lower both SAS and MIN’s chances of beating OKC in the first round drastically.

If things play out in their favour then they could be versing HOU in the WCSF - and I don’t really believe in Paul, Harden and Dantoni to not choke away another one. All it takes is for Russ or Playoff George to have one of those series and defence to catch up to Houston in the playoffs when everything slows down like all dantonis teams.

If PG makes the WCF (and loses to GSW) does he believe they could beat them next year with a healthy Roberson to slow down Steph or Durant while he takes on the other?

If Roberson was a big swing towards losing PG, I think this new development is just as equal a swing back to 50/50.

Yes a ton! Ingram and Randle are showing meaningful development this season and look like good starters on a good team.

Our FA has opened up two max slots and aside from Deng we have one of the best wage structures in the league.

We have a ton of good cost controlled assets in Ball, Kuz and Hart for a few years yet.

Even Zubac is looking like an NBA player again.

I’m really optimistic. I think we are in the playoffs next year regardless. I think FA’s begin considering us seriously this offseason.

With all that said, I try to look at things objectively as much as possible.

I have no idea what the percentages are for staying or going, but what I find most interesting is: if all this happens and they STILL lose in the first round...

This off-season will be massive fireworks.

Yeah. PG is 0/9 right now against the Warriors. If he keeps it up, there's a chance.

Paul George was 0-for-9 in the 1st half against the Warriors. It was the most FGA without a make in a half of George’s career.
    Welcome home PG13

OKC seems to play the Warriors better than anyone though, which is concerning. They’ve already beaten them twice, George is 0-9-, Westbrook is 2-10, Melo is 4-10, and they’re STILL only down 1.

They just matchup really well. GSW’s death lineup struggles because Adams can stay on the floor and give them fits on both ends. Green just can’t handle him, and Adams dominates the offensive boards. In general OKC out boards them. Secondly, GSW can be turnover prone in general but OKC turns them over a whole lot more. Once the turnover happens no one can stop Westbrook down hill.

Lastly, they have a few plus defenders they can throw at the Durant-Steph PnR, and with Roberson they played them even better and nullified that threat as much as humanly possible.

Where OKC gives it up is when they can’t get their offence rolling like today in the third quarter. Durant, Klay, and Steph can just spam you with threes and steam roll over you in a few minutes.

1/13. I've seen PG struggle but this is probably up there in the list of the ugliest he's ever did.

Well, at least OKC got destroyed in the end, that’s all we can ask. 112-80, George 1-14, 5 points yikes.

A win by the Pels tomorrow will drag OKC down to #8 then they face GSW in Rd. 1. Universe conspiring. Stars aligning. You can't fight destiny.

Okay. Maybe a little too dramatic.
