Honestly this is what I was hoping for. IT has been there in the NBA so far. His career has been a whirlwind, but it wasn't too long ago he was a playoff killer. I've been desperate for a guy who knows what it takes and has the personality to lead the young kids forward. IT seems like that guy even if he's just here for a little bit. Besides, the team has really adopted an "us against the world" mentality which fits well with IT and fits well with temporary situations. Within the locker room it's all for each other. IT honestly probably needs that as much as anyone. And how the f*** are the Cavs winning games without practice? LeBron must be that good...
dont need practice...simple gm plan, give ball to james, if youre a 3pt shooting opt go stand at 3pt line, if you dont shoot 3s be the garbage man (thompson)
honestly, lebron can play any style, with almost any other player. too much is made of him needing the ball and such. he can be a playmaker without ballhogging, which is a rare talent (think larry bird as a prime example). it's part of why you sign him despite all his baggage. anyway, back to IT: i'm hoping he's been appropriately humbled by how quickly he got dumped in both boston and cleveland. he's saying the right things: he's not more important than team success. now live it.
Aside from the fact Cleveland doesn't practice...the part about him having the ball in his hands to make a play and the bench standing up and cheering when he shot. It just seems like reading between the lines that without practice and any chance of really controlling the ball with Lebron there, he was never able to get that feel back, and whenever he did have the ball he was constantly second guessing himself on what to do because teammates might not be happy with his shot/decision. He obviously is a very confident player, but second guessing yourself the whole game can't be easy. It should help him a lot having a place when he can sort of be free and just enjoy the game and his teammates like he used to.
Maybe...just maybe Thomas is THAT closer we have been seeking. The crew will have figure out how to cover for him unless Kevin Hart is out there with the opponent. He did mention that their defensive breakdowns have been due to miscommunication. I suppose this is where "real" practices will be beneficial to all concerned learning about each other. Oh and uhhh, Thomas can bump up our horrid free throw % several notches by himself.
I think the Lakers pace will be a positive for I.T, more open floor with the green light from Walton I think the lack of consistent perimeter shooting will hurt I.T and the needed spacing he needs to create his own and for others. At his size, spacing is important when trying to attack the paint. What will stay the same is the defensive liability. I think this will be a short spurt with the Lakers, great cap move for the near future but that's about it.
Really weird situation all around, one of the quickest ejections I’ve ever seen. Seems like Rondo simply felt like being an a-hole for the sake of it tonight
awwww, rondo still has feelings for wheelchair paul honestly, what a loser he is for bringing the video tribute thing up. like who even cares?
Good. Eff Rondo and eff the weeny refs that Luke said last night took the easy way out waiting for things to escalate so they could boot both of them.
