That article that showed LaVar at their equivalent of the Grammies I mentioned and no one commented that Lonzo Ball is going to Lithuania this summer as an entertainer.

Having to pay for autograph sessions isn't new when it comes to sports but I've never seen prices that high. Also that mall is pretty old/s***ty to have prices that high. Frank and Sons in that same area usually does autograph sessions for <$50, your essentially paying for a spot in line considering how crowded these things get.

This is what happens when you realize you didn't really have 7M to buy 5.5M house for Pops plus 3 exotic cars and now have a pregnant GF to the tune of oh .... I dunno ... 10K (?) per month. Because CA and Uncle Sam got their hooks in that 7M too. Dummy!

I can tell you with absolute certainty the price point has nothing to do with struggling finances. That family is making plenty of money.

I'm not defending the price point, but it's certainly a price point chosen by Lavar and the BBB in order to continue this perception of exclusivity.

Kuzma should set up at Frank and Sons and sell his autograph for 50 bucks.

How about working on fitness, shot, shape etc. in the summer instead ... with actual coaches and trainers?

These guys can't have other interests? Who is to say he won't also be working on his game?

It has nothing to with interests. But all the stuff that has been reported is too much "kardashian-like" for my taste. But maybe I am just generally frustrated with what's surrounding him these days ...

The kid has done nothing wrong for the team on the court. He can't control someone hitting his knee. When he's played for us, he's been tremendous.

I'm not crazy about his concert, but I also am not going to jump to conclusions as long as he's playing well for us. I don't care if he's a country singer or an actor or a car salesman in his spare time as long as he's continuing to improve for us. He was doing great before the injury and should be getting back soon. I don't see a problem.

i'm concerned about his on-ball defense, shooting (particularly fts), and general strength.

    i don't give a s*** about his rapping.

Everything you are saying about Lavar is the same thing I heard about the Kardashians 10 years ago. Truth of the matter is, there is a marketing machine behind this that the little people have no concept of. It doesn't matter if you hate people anymore. It's about clicks and eyes. And eventually those clicks and eyes bring you money. It's not that complicated.

Ratings and BS, all mean nothing. No one was watching baseball for years, yet they were throwing 200 mil contracts all over the place. You think you don't care, but you do. And the fact that you have a thread exclusively for this clown only proves it.

His defense has been fantastic though.

Among guards who average 25 minutes or more (tried to avoid the bench guys), Lonzo has the best defensive rating in the league among guards (105) tied with Chris Paul. Notable guys who are known for their defense that are near him are Dunn, Roberson, and Oladipo. Lonzo is actually three points better than Patrick Beverley.

He's the only 20 year old in the NBA averaging 1.5 steals per game (there are only 15 other gaurds in the league right now averaging 1.5 steals).
Only three guards in the NBA are averaging 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks: Oladipo, Ben Simmons, and Lonzo Ball.

Yeah, his defense has been a surprise this year. He's got good size and speed for a point guard and has held his own even blocking shots of some of the better offensive players.

His shot started to fall once Luke moved him off ball in the half court set, he was shooting somewhere around 35+% from three and getting easier looks around the rim. His FT's do need tuning and he does need to add strength, but look at Ingram from year 1 to year 2. Much stronger, better jumper after adjusting his release.

This is just the beginning and he has a solid foundation to work with.
