I'm pretty sure this was a courtesy signing for LeBron's agent as a favor. I'm sure kcp won't be here next year. Unless he personally requests a trade to a contender
He finally had one of those on-fire games tonight. I know the whole bench vs starting thing is an issue right now, but I still think KCP is the one that has to go to the bench when IT is ready to go. If neither will relent, and we feel we have to appease both, then sadly Hart goes back to the bench, but that does leave us small at the 2 and 3 unless Lonzo is playing the 2, and I think Hart might have earned the start even over KCP.
Did not chuck tonight... Sank an open trey, a couple of nice mid-range pull ups. Had a bad brick in the third but it was rushed with the shot clock winding down.
From what I saw in @CaCHooKa Man's highlights, he seems to have played within himself, and I do hope he realizes that playing hero-ball will only hurt his pending free agency.
...the mindset that Half Pint should adopt but won't. At least he gives us legit offense if he is alright physically.
Hart has the stronger, wider frame to body George. Pope looks like he could be blown away by a stiff wind.
So much more likable when he does Uninterupted. Put him in front of a media day and it gets a bit awkward for him. Sucks guys that struggle with it and obviously get very nervous still have to go out and do it, but thats part of the deal.
Note to Caldwell-Pope... NEVER attempt a lob pass off a give and go to Lopez. Good intentions, on time, problem was Lopez was slow to get there. Thought it was the funniest play on the court last night.
Said in Game Day I still like him. He's a nice player on the floor for us most of the time. Hope he gets a not horrible deal somewhere because turning down what Detroit offered was a horrible decision.
I do like Pope too but needs to play his role and be steady. After that detention period, Pope's been that. That steal for a flush in the second half was great...I even saw it a mile away. Plays the passing lanes well. Had a few shots just rolled around and came out.
He's absolutely been solid since the jail time. Doesn't make a ton of mistakes, just plays his role and makes some plays. He's a decent starter, but not anything wild.
In spite of what I said above I would be happier keeping Hart as the 2 guard starting once Lonzo starts again. Hart is more all around solid and smart and a better defender already it seems. But that won't happen I think.
Did a tremendous job of getting us into the game with one of the best shooting games in Lakers history. He also left the door open for them to come back and beat us, but I'm not going to focus on that in his thread. If it wasn't for him, we lose the game in the 3rd quarter.
