I wonder if George would come if we re-signed Randle and we move or stretch Deng in 2019 off season to create enough room for one more Max.
You gotta think if he's legitimately considering he would possibly be willing to have/be okay with one last foundation setting type of year here with a new team and recruit another Max at the deadline or in 2019.. I think this needs to be conversated... Adding George and another All-Star at the trade deadline. God I wish we would have made a strong push for Griffin haha.
Sirron didn't mean to disregard the Kawhi statement.. It made me think before when we heard he was supposedly disgruntled with the Spurs . We've heard Spurs were also supposedly interested in Kuz, Randle I believe has a good relationship with Pop...dare I say looks like Pop genuinely likes Randle? Anyhoot, if you add JC do you think that has a shot if Kawhi says this is where he wants to be? He's from Riverside if I'm not mistaken...
We'll definitely pitch him that, but is he willing to come to a worse team than the Thunder on a promise like that? We'll pitch him everything he could want: 1) LeBron 2) Boogie maybe, Randle 3) 2019 FA like Klay or Kawhi 4) Himself if he wants it 5) name a player, we'll get them We're going to throw those at him. He'll ask what our plan is and we'll tell him we've got A-Z plans and detail a few of them. You just have to hope it's enough although I doubt it today. It'll be interesting to see where we finish.
I mean, are we a worse team than the Thunder? By next season Ball, Randle, Ingram, and Kuzma will all be a year older (good for them). Melo will be a year older (bad for him). If I'm PG13, I'm not looking at just next season. Through the length of a 4 year deal, where do I have a better future?
I posted in the PG thread about the importance of players like Steven Adams and Draymond Green to winning basketball. Every time I think about Randle’s natural gifts, I just wish he had a bit of the IQ to go with them. He has the potential to be an unbelievable player. He is fast enough and strong enough to really sway the game. If he just consistently set good screens, improved his P&R defence just a little bit, focused more effort on rebounding game in game out, worked constantly on his shot out to the 3 and could finish with either hand. We wouldn’t be having a discussion on whether we should resign him.
well, with all that, he's a superstar. with just the first three things (which, i think, are at least partly in his control), we're not having the conversation.
Yeah. Randle does all that, we're probably in the playoff hunt and PG13 is coming to join his agent's other superstar client in Los Angeles. The problem is that BBall IQ. Green and Adams have it in spades. Randle has it in clubs.
Even the short 2's he puts up if he could shoot them more often and hit them more often would create real problems for the guys defending him.
Well maybe if Luke or the FO hadn't wasted some of our roster strength not starting him the 1st half of the year almost.
