He's no more a health concern than any other player at any given moment. Any player can be hit awkwardly and injured. I don't agree with this train of thought just because he's missed some time. This is not even as bad as Curry was as a younger player with chronically twisted ankles. Kyrie frequently is banged up because he's not made of very tough stuff. Lonzo is 20 years old and thin. He'll be fine once he gets a couple years of lifting under his belt.

What's far more important is the incredible talent he exhibits when he's on the floor. He has brought almost the same effectiveness to the Lakers as he had with the Bruins. The one thing noticeably missing is the high efficiency, but that's steadily improved through the season (outside of FTs which he has always struggled with). He is the perfect player to draw FAs: a guy that contributes heavily to good basketball without needing the ball in his hands all the time.

Damn, the wallowing in misery around here is at an all time high. If some of you guys were Sixers fans you’d have jumped off a bridge by now if you’re hating on Lonzo for having an injured knee.

I guess some people forgot Ben Simmons missed his entire first year due to knee issues that had no physical contact.

This is our franchise player, while not in the playoff hunt, so what’s the rush?

I thought it was ankle or foot? Regardless, the point remains.

it was a foot, similar to randle's foot problems, iirc.

i don't see how simmons makes me unconcerned about lonzo. the assumption is i'm not concerned about simmons. i am. anyone who misses significant time early concerns me.

Im not blind to the fact that injury is a part of the game and many other notables have suffered their own early in their careers. And my statement is not meant to express hate for Zo. There’s enough hate on other threads to last to the end of he season. I’m merely making the observation that, for me, there is a vast contrast in energy for Lonzo to start the season to now where he has been injured enough that I don’t even think about him on the team. I’m more excited about Kuzma at this point. When Zo comes back I’m sure that will change.

Well to be fair to Lonzo he was extremely shaky early on. The most frustrating part of the injury to me is that Lonzo was finally catching his groove and now he's been out a couple weeks it'll take time to reestablish himself again. I completely understand being frustrated by his absence, all I'm saying is an external injury at this stage in his career doesn't make me feel like he's injury prone just yet.

Still think there's a chance they're keeping him out purposely.

    rest until you're right

we aren't fighting for anything this year, but hopefully management sees our woefully bad backup PG situation and addresses it.

He's going to be out through the All-Star Break. So, essentially, another 3-4 weeks...IMO

So should take as much time as he needs. Back in 2017 when LO came back to soon from the same injury, he tore his labrum trying to compensate.

Hopefully he's good to go after the all star break. Maybe even try to get that playoff push.

Ya, get the knee right. Then it will be an ingrown finger nail that takes him out for a month.
