Cleveland looking old and slow... Does not look promising but they are still in the East. Still wouldn't bet against them. Their experience should be enough to eke another Finals trip.
They better make it out of the east. I rather not risk with C Bags getting another trophy, that would kill me as a basketball fan.
that's a good one; i was going back and forth. ultimately, i think cleveland says no because it weakens their chances this year without providing a serious young talent (i like hield, but as a role player).
Warning: this announcer is ridiculous. De'Aaron Fox had probably his best game of his young career last night. Man, and Cousins's injury
I checked Fox's stats the last 13 games, since returning from injury. Slow start to the season, sure, but... 30.4 MPG 14.1 PPG 5.3 APG 1.9 RPG 1.1 SPG 42.4% FGs 43.2% 3pt 79.6% FTs He's going to have to continue to add strength, because he takes a beating, but I still really like what I see from him. If the shooting %s are any indication, he has what it takes to be a big time scorer - can get into the lane and to the hoop at will, and if his outside shot is falling, watch out.
smart of the clippers to blow it up. they knew they wouldn't make any noise in the playoffs either way, nice to see both cp3 and griffin gone from LA. i guess austin rivers is the face of the franchise now?
Reggie Jackson (currently injured) Luke Kennard Stanley Johnson Blake Griffin Andre Drummond Thats a respectable line up out east. Lacks some shooting but well balanced, now if Stanley Johnson can develop an outside shot...
i don't know. dat backcourt tho. i'm not sure they're better. usually the rule is that if you get the best player, you "win" the trade, so in that sense... i'm just not sure that lineup, on paper, is significantly better than the one they had yesterday. but their gm is their coach, so he must believe what griffin brings is more than what harris/bradley brought.
When you're top heavy, your backcourt tends to look meh, ie Pelicans. They really needed to make a move and maybe this was a big enough splash to get them into the playoffs.
I guess I didn't have to make a new thread, lol. Oops. Blake's value, between his contract and the Clipps being in 9th you'd think they wouldn't have to give so much. Det must be in more panic mode than they need be.
