(1) Win it all - 0% (2) NBA Finals - 0-5% (3) WCF - 10-20% (4) WCSF - 30-45% As you can probably guess it I'm not very confident at the moment and granted a ton can chance between now and the season ending with a champion but at this time its not looking good. I just keep going back to the quote PG13 gave before playing us at Staples which was showed during the game. PG basically said that if things are going well with OKC, he'd be stupid to leave a situation like that.
Career decision for him. Would he want to remain with a sidekick role to RW after Mello can't be re-signed due to OKC finance realities ..... with a good team or come home to be The Man for the Los Angeles Lakers. With a more exciting roster going forward in the immediate years ahead. And a PG like Lonzo vs RW's type of PG ing.
Plus, think of the view we would have of him if he helped lead out young guys to any real success. He think's he's loved now being from LA, imagine if we win with him. He wouldn't be Kobe loved, but he's be almost like our savior. That is why I guess you should never count us out but I just hope he understand what exactly he would mean to us and 'his city' if he came home to help us.
And I would love it a quadrillion times better if the L.A. Press and ESPN types were talking about Paul George coming to lead the Los Angels Lakers back to championship contention than for it to be about LeBron James.
The Pacers are looking pretty smart with that PG13 trade. Traded for an all-star. Paul George didn’t make it this year. On the surface not a big deal since he’s playing for a ring this year on a competitive team, but it’s got to sting a lot for a guy that wants to build his legacy and be the man. IMO it could carry a little more ammo to leave than most think.
PG would legitimately be a top 3-5 vote getter this year if he was on the Lakers. The All-Star game being in LA and the type of love he would get from LakersNation around the world would be unreal.
If he's a Laker, he's an All-Star right now. No question. No doubt about it. The record almost doesn't even matter. Hell LakerNation almost voted in Kuzma and Ball for goodness sake. Paul George would slay in a Laker jersey.
PG will never be “the man” in OKC. If that sort of thing matters to him then we have to be a consideration in free agency. So yeah, I hope it matters to him.
excellent. not at all surprising he missed the all star reserve selection with OKCs mediocre record. LA media should play that up lol
yeah, the non-allstar selection is good for the lakers here. he'll deflect in the press, but that's gotta sting. welcome to being the second-best player in a crap market. hell, kawhi leonard's been the second best player in the nba for two or three years and winning like crazy and nobody gives a s***.
Melo, WB and Adams shot for a combined 8/30 in the 1st half while PG is 6/12. Looks like they're more affected by his nonselection than he is. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
I love the well deserved selection of 'dipo too, lol that's gotta sting PG and reinforces the false Indy "won the trade" narrative.
Not an all-star this year. I mean I love him and he is a very good player, but he certainly isn't the best player on a championship team. Him missing the all-star game will definitely be a plus for LA.
Melo and PG haven’t been all star quality this year - they’ve all been trending the right way since beginning of the year but too many average games from them both. I think it really comes down to how that team meshes moving forward. If they lose in the WCSF or WCF but push GS to 7, then he stays. If they lose in 5 and aren’t competitive then I think he bails.
That maybe true but it isn't like both Klay and Dray are having an all star year either and yet they're both in. If Melo didn't make it last year in the East, not a chance in the West. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
