Ahhh ok on tv and whatnot all they talk about is whether or not they should televise the captains drafting the players so I lost sight of the fact that nothing else about the selection process has changed.
It's uncanny. Basically, you can't teach much of what is pure instinct for Lonzo. Bottom line, I haven't seen the kind of passing Lonzo has a gift for since Jason Kidd. That comparisons stands for me. It has nothing to do with hyperbole, skin color, or anything else. I'm not saying Lonzo is the next Kidd. I'm not saying he'll be as great as Kidd. I'm just talking about what I see on the court. I saw it at UCLA too.

Haha, "Think about what your saying bro, its stupid" Spoiler: Warning Language: What Lonzo Really Thinks
Lonzo is the glue to this team. It’s so apparent when he’s off the court, the offense becomes stagnant. His rebounding is crucial to pushing the pace, plays smart defense, and he does everything on the court well.
The team is also so much more watchable when he’s out there. When he doesn’t play I almost don’t want to tune in because I know the chances of an ugly game go up.
Those steals though. I had hoped that would carry over from college because his man defense wasn’t that great, but it’s still a pleasant surprise just how well it has, and how well he reads where passes are going to go to get a hand on them. His all-around game is the best it’s been all season at this point, he looks more confident, and like he himself has said, like he’s out there trying to have fun playing.
What's not to love about Lonzo at this point? As crazy as it sounds based on his 10/7/7/1/1 (technically 0.9 blk, but hey), his stat line is a lot like Draymond's. His shooting seems to be picking up and I'm optimistic he can improve his scoring.
Played off the ball some tonight...resulted in a pair of flushes. Just like at UCLA with Holiday on the floor with him only this was with Kuzma. I can live with the 7 TO's as he was pushing the pace. Two of them were low and had no chance to convert. That touch pass to Pope for a trey was typical of him.
Another very nice night from Lonzo. And I agree Weezy, that's why when Lonzo went down I said I wasn't going to watch much because it's just so tough without him. We are so reliant on him and with good reason. He makes the team go. Another thing that just doesn't translate so much in the box score is how infectious passing becomes for the team when he's out there. They pick up on his unselfish ball movement and try to add to it. When he's not there it's just a lot more selfish ball. So glad he's back, and he is really driving the team.
There were a couple of plays where he broke down the defense and instead of taking it to the cup, passed it to a perimeter shooter. Hard to break tendencies but I wish he could be selfish in those instances and just take the shot. Ball has nice touch so I don't see him missing badly.
