I think of something different when I hear "open your hips" like a pelvic exam or something ya'all are weird
It might honestly not be something he can fix. It might be just the way his body is built. I'd have to really get in the gym with him to know more. I was hopeful that the reason he was running awkwardly was due to him growing into his body and not having proper weight training, but it could just be the way he's built. It's not the end of the world. There's plenty of long-time NBA bigs that haven't been the most fluid athletes. It just would be something he'd have to work around.
I'd really like to see Bryant see the floor with our young core just to see what he can do... I am not sure if Lopez will be back or would like to be back. Same with Pope with Hart on board.
Nah that was the women's olympic gymnastics doctor and his "treatments" that they had been complaining about for years with the "committee" doing nothing about him. Kinda like the catholic hierarchy. Have fun with your treatments in prison Doc.
Well he was really unimpressive even in his very limited minutes. I thought Zubac has looked better in limited minutes. I still have a hard time looking at him run. It looks almost painful at times. Any time he has to rotate his hips he moves in molasses. When he moves in a straight line he's explosive. Weird.
I can't stop. It's weird. Look at the way he moves compared to the way Zubac moves. Zubac is more fluid near the basket even if he's less explosive. Bryant is stiff as all hell, but can explode in straight lines.
Just giving you a hard time LOL. I guess I need to be more observant, but I’ll make a point to look at what you are talking about.
Watch when he turns 90 degrees to each side. He loses speed and athleticism quickly. When he's going forward he is pretty athletic, it's just when he has to twist side to side. That might be a problem defensively in the NBA, especially since he's so young and lacks experience. I don't know. It's just something that he does. It might not mean anything at all and it just looks funky.
No you’re right and I know exactly what you’re talking about. He looks like he wants to react but he’s a half step behind any movement that isn’t a straight line.
Give the kid some run at the backup 5. He should be mobile enough to play small ball 5, and he can shoot from deep.
First field goal yes, but he scored his first NBA point last December. Source: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bryanth01/gamelog/2018/
Him burying that 3 was the cherry on top, very fun moment for the kid. Also the first time I’ve said “Bryant for 3!” in years.
