If he started the game I think the outcome would be different. There were points in the game where he was unstoppable
Sure. That's the point. I don't think either side got too far with the trade, but probably left the window open for later on. I'm sure Dallas would love to have Julius. He seems like the kind of guy who would thrive in that organization.
The TNT crew was raving about Randle all night, “why would they trade this guy”, “Dallas should reconsider”, “for Nerlens Noel, lol”. Was pretty annoying having 4 guys call a game though, too much.
I did like the in game reactions from three ex-pros, but it got a bit much when they went away from the game and started just talking about things. It took away from the game itself, although to be fair the game was mostly not very good at all. I agree that a straight-up trade of Randle for Noel would be disastrous, but if we got a pick back or they took Deng as well, I'd have a much easier time with that.
Unacceptable to have guys like KCP, Hart and Clarkson all playing 35+ minutes, and Kuzma, while he's DOPE AF, playing 41 minutes...and then Randle only plays 21 minutes? What does this guy gotta do to get more playing time? I'm honestly very perplexed by this situation and have been since the season started...
Have to say I feel sorry for this guy, worked hard all summer to tick the boxes management set for him. Came back ready, playing the best basketball of his short career, and he can’t even get a proper look in when we have half the starters injured.
Pressed Mute on the remote...problem solved. It would have been better for someone like Miller, Webber, Smith or anyone besides those four. Even if the game wasn't involving, I think they would have tried to stay focused on what is happening on the court.
i think the mavs would take him, but i'm sure they were thinking for nothing (noel). i think there are some workable deals between the teams, but i can't imagine anything gets traction until february.
I actually didn’t watch the game because of that. I lasted almost the first quarter then i tapped out. I felt like it was their show and in the background was a basketball game. If that clown show is what’s needed to get people to watch the game then the NBA is in trouble.
I doubted the validity of this when it was announced and I still do now. I know there was some buzz that Julius might settle for his qualifying offer to stay here, but does that really seem likely at this point? And besides, he'd still cost us 12.5 million when it's important: while we're bidding on big names.
If I was randle, I’d just leave after this year... he put in the work, is in great shape. Plays his butt off. Hustles, plays defense, has made plenty of winning plays... yet still has a hard time cracking the playing time that he deserves... I don’t know what more luke wants from him. It’s just disgusting how he’s being buried in the bench. And it’s no surprise we keep losing when you bench our best energy/defensive player
yeah it's hard not to feel bad for randle really wish there was more clarity on just exactly what is going on between him and luke. is this something that goes back to the FO or does luke simply not like him?
I didn’t see this game, but we clearly don’t care about Randle or want him back. 11 mins? Really? Listening to Pincus on Trevor Lane’s podcast and he brings up Randle in scenarios for trading for Cousins or George if their teams are struggling by deadline. KCP, Randle, “maybe Zubac” for Cousins. Or, Randle, maybe draft pick for George. I’d do either one if it means bringing in a star, considering we obviously are going to trade Randle for something or let him walk. No idea why he’d want to come back if we tried to re-sign him anyway.
