Zen keeps harping on hockey subs, and I’m with him on that. Obviously the starters have to come back at some point, the bench can’t play from a few minutes left in the first quarter until halftime. BUT, they don’t have to all come back at once. You can slowly sub Randle, JC, and Kuz in and then back out and not do it all at once. KCP, Lopez, and Nance all coming back at once is jarring for this team and our offense (and defense for some reason). I’d also like Luke to stop playing Zo entire 1st quarters and then having him sit for a long time. Zo plays at an incredible pace, he should not play entire 1st quarters. Then his thigh is hurting late in the game and OT and he stays out there and JC never sees the floor again even though we need scoring badly.
in regards to switching, every gm there are multiple instances where our guard end up on the blicks against pf/c n most times its an easy bucket
My friends that only watch nationally televised games don’t get it. For all of the good that Luke has done, he consistently loses games with bad rotations. I understand that this team had low expectations, but I firmly believe we should have 15 wins so far.
So many 3 pts looks given up because Lopez is too slow to guard on the perimeter . Well he played as many minutes as Julius so I guess he's as good as Randle is . One day , maybe , Luke will stop trying to keep everybody happy and will focus on winning games instead
Thank you Darius Soriano, and thanks for posting wcsoldier81. This article sums up exactly what I've been saying and feeling. The starters aren't cutting it. Vash, check it out. No one is blaming Nance, it's just the lineup doesn't fit/work. http://www.forumblueandgold.com/2017/12/14/lakers-analysis-starting-lineup-change/
Hey, let’s not call a timeout with 6 seconds left and advance the ball. Let’s allow KCP to go full court and take a horrible, contested three. I mean, sure the game was tied, and inbounding the ball at halfcourt allows us to drive to the hoop for a shot at the hoop instead of a 3 we don’t NEED, but at least we didn’t let the Warriors d get set. Oh wait, they did, as KCP’s three was contested by 2, if not 4 players. Another winnable game flushed down the toilet.
It will be very interesting to see what he does with the rotations with Lopez out. I'm looking forward to seeing it. Hopefully I won't end up wanting to throttle him.
