i was sold on the hart pick on draft night. but to be fair...i wasn't sold on the kuzma pick (wanted jordan bell). so...1 for 2?
I'm 2 timing my boy Kyle with my excitement over having Josh on this roster too. Someone has said a couple of times he's like another Fisher and the more you think about that .... Wow. Solid build alteady. Dude is a stud out there. You can see the way he carries himself and his confidence. Like Bogut on a major stage Hart too is a champion. In front of 50,000 NCAA final four crazies. I don't think it is a reach to label Josh Hart as another player with IT. Maybe a better defender potentially compared to younger Fish or Fish was pretty good in his prime?
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, he REALLY needs to improve that three point shot. All of his fundamentals are great otherwise, but he needs to knock down those open looks for floor spacing.
I really like this kid. I think he's got as bright a future as can ever be expected for a late 1st round pick.
Could be a perfect 3 and D guy ... He knows what he has to work on . Solid finisher at the rim so far : 13 out of 19 , good for 68.4%
That was actually one of his strengths coming out of the draft. He does an excellent job of creating contact and maintaining body control.
I've been happy with Hart's D but VERY disappointed in his three point shooting . . . until last night! Way to knock them down. We need more of that!
His individual and team defense is really surprising to me; he is very physical and battles against bigger players when he is switched onto them. He always is seemingly in the right spots to make plays; for instance there was a Faried lob that he broke up last night that led to the fast break that we had; although, we didn't convert, but that effort leads to those kinds of opportunities. Now, if he can start to hit that 3, we might have something; he can play multiple positions, and as @ZenMaster pointed out last night he back kind of be our backkup 3 in a sense. Good game; nice shooting. Keep it up
Even though he has a few college years under his belt, he is still a rookie. He is solid and if he is committed to improvement, he will prove to a great pick a year or two from now. I envisioned him as a solid guard like D-Fish with leadership abilities and maturity. If he gets that 3-pt shot down, he will be very close. Looking forward to watching him advance.
His shot looks much improved to me. In college he had a tricky hitch towards the top of his release. He looks much smoother now.
He played and guarded both LeBron and Love decently at times. Strong kid, I'm looking forward to his improvement next year
