He will be a perfect as an off ball PG point guard paired with a dominant wing IF he can knock down the catch and shoot 3 in the future . He could end up as one of the best role players of all time with his other skills ( passing , D , rebounding). Basically he will be able to be the 4th best player on a championship team, not better
His defensive rebounding creates lots of fastbreaks/transition opportunities , it is FAR from useless . I always felt most of NBA fans are wrong a when they are talking about what they want from a PG . You don't need an all star , just a PG who can play off the dominant wings of this league . Point guards don't win titles.
I know I tend to be too optimistic, but this is a hell of a pessimistic outlook. How about we give the kid at least one-two years in the league before making such statements? I am wondering what you were saying about Ingram and Randle at the same time in their first season.

Bizarre quick 3 followed by a game winning drive to set up a wide open 3. Zo more than made up for it, by making a great decision followed by a poor possession on the previous trip. BI is going to get credit (rightfully so), but without the unbelievball setup by Zo, that game winner is all for naught.
That’s a hell of a game, I don’t care what anyone says about his 0-3 from 3. And that last play, he drove and drew 3 defenders to him, got Ingram WIDE open, made the right pass. That’s what he does. Also, zero turnovers.
I mean, 1st Team All Defense at guard? He’s been exceptional defending guards, which is really hard to come by in the NBA. If we actually had an interior defender, he’d look even better. Also, great decision to not settle for the shot and drive and kick and vision to find BI. 0 turnovers, and an all around good game from the kid.
Didn’t love that last shot Lonzo took, but overall happy with his performance. Drove to the basket and finished well in transition. Excellent defense as well.
Couldn’t agree more. Simmons with his triple double still had like 4 or 5 turnovers and still wound up with a loss. I almost expected Lonzo to try to go up on that last drive but made exactly the right decision. I also like that he didn’t settle for too many threes, but was able to get to the basket for some buckets. Hopefully that helps his confidence a little.
Can’t remember the time on the clock but yeah, that shot was a head scratcher. Guess he wanted to shut up critics who criticize him for not playing aggressive enough. Still a good game overall and definitely made that last shot happen.
When Lonzo learns to shoot. It's over. He needs to really get that part of his game fixed because everything else is great.
Really dumb shot but the silver lining is that he had the guts. His confidence is shaken but not broken.
It was 100% a 2-for-1 situation. There was a little over 30 seconds on the clock. I didn't love the shot, but I didn't hate it either.
yeah, the shot needed to be taken but young man isn't winning any awards this year Maybe he'll be on a rookie team or something though
Never liked the idea of a rushed 2 for 1 instead of taking 1 good shot and rely on solid defense for the final seconds.
Tie game with the game on the line...You don't need a 2 for 1, but it looks like Luke liked the shot either way. Also BI and Magic singing Zo's praises right now. Take note Lavar...That's how you make public comments and suggestions to the Lakers coach haha.
