Is that really the point though? The point is the kid did something amazing statistically and almost pushed us to victory against a very unique and talented Milwaukee club.
Despite a great game, there were a handful of plays where he passed up an easy bucket for an awful pass. Some overthinking there but overall he played great against some pesky defenders in Bledsoe and Rat Face. Also the crazy length of the Bucks.
I know it isn't. Zo had an incredible game and it looked easy. Simply this kind of stat-mentioning always gets me. It's like "The only left-handed NBA player to have 13 points and 7 rebounds while playing 14th game with previous game being in LA". Of course this kind of tight filter gonna get you much less results.
2 - 3 years, this is going to be the norm from this kid. Just get him some shooters who aren't dumb (unforced turnovers, taking bad shots, dribbling 1000 times).
Hey Jason Kidd... Lonzo Ball's got your "stretch" hangin'. Bad timing on those snarky replies to humor the ESPN Lakers haters.
One thing I noticed all game, his pick and roll play has improved significantly. Still needs to be aggressive offensively for himself, but he's finally hitting the roll man for some easy buckets. Had a few sequences with Ju where it looked natural.
Anyone calling him a bust is a f***ing moron. Let's be real here. The guy has BBIQ and skillset to win MVPs. He has a unique skill set that players flock to play with. Once Lonzo gets his horses, he will be extremely dangerous.
Oh, it's much more than that. Almost universal. Gloating at his shooting % and stuff. Saying he is a bust etc.
Exactly, and do we even for a moment think that Stupid A. Smith will say he was wrong or give Lonzo credit for this game on his segment on Monday? Nope. Not a freaking chance. Not click bait worthy enough to say the kid is good or that he was wrong about his call on him being a bust. Great game from Lonzo. Nice to see him lay off some of those threes and to shoot a higher percentage overall. Ridiculous triple double numbers tonight as well as the added steals and blocks. Imagine if someone like Ingram would have shot better than 20% or KCP better than 30% or Lopez better than 44%. Yikes. We desperately need some shooting around Lonzo. Our guys aren't getting that part of the job done at all.
