Honestly, why havent we hired a PI to investigate Deng's actual age? I think that would be a way to void it, right? If Deng is kidnapped for 3 years, he wouldnt be able to go to games which would void his contract. Can we convince Deng to "transition" so he could dominate the WNBA? We need to think outside the box here people.

So if i understand correctly, if the lakers buy him out and hes paid $7million a year for 5 years, only the $7 million goes against the cap?

for those thinking attaching jc with deng is realistic might need to look at it w/o lakers glasses, who has 31mill in cap space n its already mission impossible to move deng but to find someone to send back 31mill back is virtually impossible

Any tanking team needs help tanking? Looking at you Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta. Sacramento maybe? Play Deng and you're pretty much guaranteed a loss!

Normal players? You're right. But a Bledsoe or a PG13-type player that's expiring and not on a contender (they want something in return). Who they can get, I don't know. But Clarkson is a good player, he's young, and on a good contract. Most teams would love to get him.

ok but how to match that much money coming back? say pho for example, bledsoe/chandler works but i can't imagine theyd be easy to deal with though. what would you think of deng/jc multiple picks for Henson/monroe? monroe expires but henson has 2 more yrs at about 10 n 9 mill per. we'd buy out monroe right away n henson would be insurance big or we stretch him after the season, if not henson howd u feel bout delladova? we could use his vet/dirty presence lol

I would easily package Randle with Deng if we had an opportunity. But I don't see a team that intends to absorb Deng and also pay Randle...thats 35 mio. in anual salary to take on.

Yeah. I think Deng lowers his value every time he hits the floor.

I get the feeling 1 is the move we make. I’m one of the few here who wouldn’t automatically dismiss 4 depending on who we were getting back but I wouldn’t trade Ball or Kuzma.
