What happened to Larry Lewis? Good developmental guy for PGs. I feel bad he doesn't have a mentor on the court or in the locker room.
Yeah Simmons is a beast. But in fairness, Simmons had an extra year to prepare. And they're different players. Simmons is ball-dominant.
Loved that he was more aggressive tonight, but just wish he could knock down more shots. He’s gonna have to rework that shirt in the offseason. 6 assists though and did a decent job on D’Angelo when he was on him I thought.
I felt like he over compensated tonight. I didn't love his overly aggressive forced takes on offense especially since he had Kuz with him in the starting lineup and needs to get him more looks (he got very few looks in the second half after shooting 7 for 8 in the first). I didn't mind the ofer last game. We competed and he made the right plays. Tonight he was trying to do too much on his own and that's not his strength.
He went a bit out of control when he did that. That's not what we need. I like him composed and deliberate.
Absolutely. It’s one of his best traits IMO. He’s human though and I gotta imagine it’s hard for him to blow CJ all the talk and expectations.
He can get where he wants on the floor but can't finished . How he improves in this department will "define" his level . Simple as that
I'm not a patient guy at all but you can't have a " near final" assessment on a player will be before his 4th -5th season . Players are usually in their prime between their 6th and 12th years ...
I have almost zero concerns. The shooting is irksome but we got the best guard in the draft and in my opinion it's not close. Having Kuzma helps paper over some of the rookie struggles. Ball will be fine
Zo's impact goes farther than any box score. These guys are playing defense and moving the ball better than ever before and he is the one who sets that tone. Magic was absolutely right when he said we needed a leader. We now have one. Once those shots start falling, look out.
