Maybe he'd score more if he actually, you know... took some more shots? Basically he needs to SHOT more.
I would say he did a decent job defensively on Lillard. Usually Dame would go off for 50 on us. Zo even had a nice block on him too.
Yeah but that was the only highlight. One-on-One Dame was blowing by him. So far Lonzo to me is terrible on the defensive end.
One-on-One Dame blows by everybody. Zo's defense has been vastly underrated this year. Even ESPN has been giving him props for his defense this season because he has the size and athleticism to make it up, as you see with that block. Here's the Insider article from a few pages back:
I'd like that, Billups mentoring Lonzo, thanks KG. I would chalk that up to a rookie learning to find his spots but just taking two shots is inexcusable. He'll be fine but that was an awful showing from him.
I'm thinking that maybe all that activity off the court (BBB, media hoopla, partying, reality show) is starting to get to him. Maybe he's just mentally drained from the new environment. I know I would be if I were him.
OK yeah that one was awesome. The other one late was equally good for staying with him and timing his jump and extension just right.... that they called a bogus foul on him.
Wow Damian. That was beautiful and spot on. You go on my list if I could find it of well spoken and smart athletes.
"He will be fine" sounds very familiar. DLo. 2015 - "he will be fine, he is just a rookie", 2016 - "he is not a bust, just needs another year", 2017 - "f***, trade him". Ingram. 2016 - "he will be fine, he is just a rookie", 2017 - "he is not a bust, just needs another year", 2018 - ??? Zo. 2017 - "he will be fine, he is just a rookie", 2018 - ??? And I know he will be fine. Ingram too.
