Great players will not be denied.

    The rest is excuses.

I don't think anybody thinks Lopez is great. I bet Lopez doesn't think he's great.

He's good though. He's a better Center than a lot of Centers in this league if he's used correctly. Here he's barely playing and is frequently floating around the perimeter apparently aimless.

Luke is thrashing his value. Maybe we really can get Lopez back for 4 million dollars.

eh, with how players have fared in la, i'm pretty sure other teams are thinking that they can squeeze more value out of lopez.

Had a block on Harris at the rim. A defensive play as rare as a eclipse.

Looks like the term "rental" is more apropos to him than KCP. At this point Bogut has a greater chance of being retained than him.

I don't get the hate honestly. I don't think the starters doing poorly routinely is on him at all. They run different sets from the bench squad apparently and those sets just don't inspire confidence. It's funny how the bench looks so in-sync but the starters look like they've never played together at all.

I still don't think Brook is being put in situations to succeed. The man is a former All-Star with a great skill set and I'd still bring him back if Luke knew how to use him. Actually the fact that he's struggling early makes me a little leery of adding Cousins at the moment. If Luke can't maximize Brook, he's going to struggle maximizing Cousins as well.

he's just not knocking down shots. the rest of his game looks fine to me. if we're upset about him defending in space, that's on our coaching staff and management. we currently employ three centers who aren't super mobile. this should mean you develop a defensive system that hides this and accentuates their strengths (all are good "verticality" guys).

I thought he moved his feet well most of the time the few times he got switched onto a guard. In the second half alone he protected the paint and got 2-3 blocks. He's been solid for us protecting the paint so far this year but yes the shooting is a bummer so far. I thought he would have been better so far.

he doesn't get a lot of clear, standstill looks like he did in bkn last year. could be system, but could be just still acclimating to the offense/new teammates. we'll know a lot more in january.

Outstanding offensive game tonight from Lopez. And a couple nice blocks too.

Best all around game from him, was very disruptive around the rim, too.

Carried the team for most of this one and not a lot of love. It feels like most fans have already made up their minds on Brook.

What a terrific game from Lopez! His offense is so smooth, and he kept us in the game... too bad we had an awful 1st quarter. Otherwise we'd have won it.

i saw someone suggesting the other day that we needed a post presence and i'm like...we have one of the very best ones in the nba. hopefully, we're figuring out how to use him a little better. he can operate from a lot of different spots on the floor--that's a huge weapon at his size. he mostly gets spot ups and old school post ups, though.

the team did a good job finding him on the blazers switches in the first half, which was great and a sign of good coaching and good patience and recognition. i think even clarkson spotted it once and swung the ball to the weakside to make the entry pass to brook possible.

    all good things.

Yeah I don't understand how anyone could ask for a better post presence in today's NBA realistically. Brook is one of the best post presences in the NBA today and honestly one of the better ones the league has seen in a long time.

The problem is he's asked to spot up a bit too much, especially for this starting lineup. If he's going to start, he needs to be the focal point of the offense. That's really all there is to it. We don't have an offensive weapon as complete as Brook anywhere on this team (besides maybe Kuzma). In the starting lineup he's got to be the go to move in the low post/mid post and have everything work off of that. Moving Kuzma into the starting lineup would make Brook's life easier, but could limit Kuzma a bit. What Nance was starting to really excel at was reading Brook's game and finding creases. I believe Kuzma is smart/good enough to do that, but it sort of limits him to a garbage man a little bit.

The man can play. Just gotta use him right.

Also, we need more shooters in the starting lineup. Kuz needs to be there.

BroLo's best game with us yet. Honestly, he could that every game, we just need to use him correctly.

They finally threw him the damn ball in the post and cleared our, and he was pretty much unstoppable. Awesome game from him, he’s so skilled in the paint.
