All he needs to do is start Kuzma, IMO. Stagger his mins with Randle at the 5 and Ingram at the 3 as much as you can.

The defense hasn't been bad the last 3 games. 99 to the Wizards, 101 to Raptors and 96 to the Jazz. I can live with those numbers. A lot better than the 108, 132, and 119 in the first 3 games.

Starting Kuzma doesn't solve all of our problems, but it sure helps in various ways:

    1. Synergy with Lonzo; they have fantastic chemistry.

    2. Spreads the floor with another shooter.

    3. Can create his own shot; an understated part of his game.

Can Ingram play the 2 ? If he can (which I'm not convinced of), Ball, Ingram, Kuz, Randle and Lopez is our best 5. LOTS of length. Can run.

Makes no sense. None. I seriously doubt Nance could start for any other team. I don't like Randle, but he's the easy choice to start.

So all that time spent on defense in training camp...

So those bench clearing rotations to promote proper defensive effort and laying down the right culture...

So that whole thing about Randle coming off the bench to exploit weaker opposing 2nd units...

    Luke explain yourself.

Been hard on Luke, but have to give him credit.

He’s getting his young squad to play sound and solid defense.

They’re also buying into his system offensively.

    Better rotations today too.

Started off 10-10 last year; and only finished with 26 wins let's see where we are after the first 30 games or so...

True, but they didn’t have Lonzo Ball or Kyle Kuzma last year.

Not to mention some of the solid veterans they’ve added such as Bogut, Lopez, and KCP.

Randle is very clearly a different player as well.

I am rooting for them. As teams adjust, let's hope Luke does, too

Hopefully we can avoid the injury bug like last season.

    Last year...

    Had incentive to tank.

Had knuckleheads f***ing up our culture.

Had a different team and ownership with misguided and fickle direction.

Sit back and enjoy the ride back to the top. It may take a minute, but as long as we're doing it the right way and with purpose, I'm game.

Anyone like this "switch every time" defense ? Can get us in some horrible mismatches, but appears to be a lot faster (Det game at least).

John, you haven't heard about the new positionless fad that is sweeping the NBA?

I actually like it cause we're so young. Defense is 30% god-given ability, 70% effort. Our youngns should be running all day. Switch everything if its leading to 9th overall defense and 7th overall rebounding (big ups to Zo here).
