    Slow your roll man.

I love Lonzo as much as the next Lakers fan, but Kidd is one of the all time great PG’s.

Gonna be a first ballot HOF.

Lonzo has a long way to go before reaching that status let alone chasing the greatest PG ever and argurably greatest Laker of all time in Magic.

That was such an awful last shot by Wall, he was trying to play Harden-ball all night, going for the foul instead of the hoop, and it bit him twice late. Once when Randle defended him brilliantly and the ball went off him out of bounds at the last moment, and on that hideous double-clutch last second 3, trying to draw the foul with his..butt?

I'm aware of Kidd's career. I'm near his age and I've followed him since his rookie year. (before you were born?) Kidd is a 1st ballot HOFer, no doubt. But Lonzo is borderline transcendent. He is better at age 19 than Kidd was at 21-23. Their games are similar, but Lonzo is 2 to 3 inches taller, which is a huge difference for a PG. He could see angles and make passes that Kidd couldn't. And I don't have to explain how height affects shooting, defending and rebounding.

For reference, Kidd's stats as a rookie, at 21 years old.
    11.7pts, 38.5 fg%, 5.4 reb, 7.7 ast

I'd be disappointed if Lonzo isn't regarded as a better version of Kidd when his career is over.

I think Lonzo's rookie year numbers will be very similar to Jason Kidd's numbers actually. He's on the right path and yes, he's better than Kidd was at 21.

I don't know if I'm willing to say he's Kidd right now. The fact that it's a question is pretty remarkable though and is crucial to our summer success.

He needs to fix that shot. His slight frame will add on muscle over time; he's going to be a very good defender. His IQ is off the charts, passing is great, vision is superb, makes the right decision almost all the time, etc. He's a franchise changer and I hope a few FA's are watching...

Remeber Kidd wasn't a great outside shooter until later into his career.

    Underrated defender as well.

haters will still find an excuse to hate (i.e. "it was the Suns"). Yes it's a small sample size, but he has still done things that no other player has done in their first 4 games. Imagine what he'll be able to do with a grown man's body? :Crazyartest:

Something new was born the Washington game when we came back and went to .500 on the season. Lonzo is the team's Guy, happily, and they're going to have his back. Book it. Someone gives him a cheap shot they will get the message back at next opportune point. And Lonzo will repay those opponents and his teammates in kind as he gets better and better. Awesome leadership and esprit de corps dynamic building here.

I'd expect it out of Randle, Lopez, Kuz, Pope, any of them for that matter. Nance too as already demonstrated in other incident.
