He was such a douchebag Team USA decided not to select him once or twice...

Is he more mature now? You wanna win in the West not not the East.

Cousins is a lot like Melo...he's best served as a 2nd or 3rd option on a championship team.

So if we were to get PG and cousins or LebRon and Cousins..i'd be OK with that.

Like John Wall wasn't going to go at him, come on man. Lavar has created an economic lane for his whole family. Hard to do that if you're an idiot.

Lavar is promoting the brand, and it's worked well so far.

Agree to he's doing what he's doing. I don't have to like how he plays his shtick to do that and unquestionably makes things somewhat harder on his son, and me personally as a fan uncomfortable in the process. Not everything flying out of his pie hole is genius.

LT: The way I like to look at it is that some players need to be treated with finesse (see LO). But if you're trying to develop a star...a killer...a Kobe type, you gotta throw their a**** to the wolves.

Zo has a really good head on his shoulders, but as much as I love LO, our Lakers need the next Kobe. Since Zo has a strong frame of mind, he can handle the pressure. I'm always interested to see the true character of a player, by seeing how they overcome adversity. If Lavar keeps amping up opposing players, then they will do their best to go at Zo. It will lead to some growing pains, but if Zo and his teammates can endure, they just took that next step to super star status. They'll give you their best, in order to bring out the best in yourself.

Levar's shtick has an expiration date. That date is coming up soon. The BS for your kids sake needs to start toning down. Lonzo will be a star. He has IT. In basketball, you do not need long to see it.

The kid is almost averaging a triple double out the gate. If his guys could shoot a little better, he may well have had back to back triple doubles the last 2 games.

Time for someone to tell Levar to start staying in his lane. Because he's starting to create 405 traffic at 5pm.

Ironically per WOJ LeBron was such a douche at his first Team USA practices that he almost got cut for being a douchebag. Wonder what Stern + Maverick Carter pressure tactics were needed for that not to happen.

Good for you LaVar you're making money off your Big Mouth. Not so much good for (most) anyone else that is exposed to or reads your crap get quoted or the pressure put on Lonzo by other players because they can't stand you. STFU. IMO. YMMV. Hyperbole from Gortat below? Sure. But what other father in history of the league has acted like this?

Marcin Gortat on the pressure LaVar Ball puts on Lonzo: 'He will kill his son one day'

I understand the whole talk up the opponent so Lonzo faces them at their best so he'll grow better as a player. But one day you're going to piss off the wrong player and they'll go Zaza on you and take you out for the season.

I voiced my concerns with Lavar's big mouth during the offseason and was told that he would know to tone it down when the season started. Well you did a good job of hyping up your son, now just let him play and you run BIg Baller Brand brand.

Right. Just to shut the increasingly annoying old man up who keeps dissing/insulting/antagonizing these other players and teams. The dirty not so little secret is LaVar is too addicted to the limelight.

I got no problem with it. He's a hype man and so far it's working.

Think of it this way: everyone in the country who follows basketball is following Lonzo. Few people are as focused on Fultz's horrible start. Who is talking about Markkanen? Who is talking about Fox? Who is talking about Tatum or Jackson or Mitchell or Dennis Smith Jr.? I ask because all of those kids have flashed some great attributes already this season (except Fultz who went 1st). This draft class could go down as one of the best and of the best, Lonzo is the talk of the town. You don't get that without this hype machine.

It's a double edged sword and so far I'm good with it. Bring it on.

By the way, if Lavar is upsetting you, just stop listening.
