I feel much better about our offense with Lonzo out when Caruso is in the game rather than Ennis. Not that Ennis has played poorly. Caruso just seems a better athlete, passer, ball handler (?) Capable of it anyway except for some of the WTFs was that you tried to force. And a better defender. Who expected the SL team to still go ahead and win that championship game with Lonzo out who'd been driving that offense and hitting guys in their spots. Caruso .... "hold my beer" .... runs the offense better than Ennis.

Caruso showing that 40-somethings can still get it done in the NBA.

With Caruso, you know he's going to run the offense. Ennis hasn't really stand out with his play. Seeing how brittle Ball is, is it too late to pick up a vet pg?

Well Alex really made it hard for me to want to stick with Ennis a little longer because he played great out there. The ball just seemed to really move with that 2nd unit with Alex at the helm and Ennis seemed to be pounding the rock (ball) too much.

Give Alex more minutes instead of Ennis, which Alex did play the most mins on the team last night.

i wanted felton, but i think okc got him, too--i think they had my dream offseason: PG, patrick patterson, melo, felton! ok, dream is overstating it. still...

i'm guessing some team would part with a vet later in exchange for a look at ennis or caruso and maybe a second rounder. the mavs have a some spare vet pgs (harris, jjb), for example.

It's gotta be refreshing for players I think to get someone like Pete who knows his basketball acumen and can talk real basketball instead of the same hold questions (i.e. how was practice, what are you guys trying to get accomplish for this last game, etc....).

Honestly I like this guy, more than I thought I would. I like Ennis too, so I’m kinda torn here. The thing I like about Caruso is he’s a big PG, helps him on the defensive end and making passes. He’s kind of a Phil Jackson big PG, 6’5, but not skinny so he looks bigger. Ennis isn’t small or anything, but Caruso seems noticeably bigger. Caruso does/will struggle against smaller, quicker guards, but who doesn’t on our team, and sometimes his size is actually an advantage against them. The 2-way contract is looking smart right now, because we get to hang onto him for a while and see what he’s got. I don’t know if there are any full time roster spots, but if there are I certainly like Caruso more than Blue.

I say give Caruso the backup pg spot and Ennis is 3rd stringer. He's averaging like 8 assist a game, great facilitator

yeah, caruso has outplayed ennis in the preseason. once you get over the packaging, he has the look of a real nba player. his size, strength, and intensity make up for a lack of quickness. and he knows how to play on both ends.

Leave the dude alone LOL. So he's losing it but he's got strategic places for what he has now including his face and he's happy. Not everyone likes or has the great shaped head for the bald look. Go pick on Ingram for his hair this year since Russell can't be the whipping boy any more. :Noddingyes:

Caruso hit outside shots...was more in control tonight with his passing. He really should get the nod over Ennis.
