so...does the media want take back all the shade they threw at kobe and the lakers now that everyone in the free world agrees howard is the problem? thought not.
right, kobe got roasted for essentially saying that. james harden says it a year later, and he's the good guy.
The comments for this are ridiculous. Clearly not people who watched Dwight here, nothing but a bunch of people saying “poor Dwight”, and calling Cari names and telling her to STFU. I think Dwight is full of it with half the stuff he said there, lol he wanted to learn from Kobe, please. And then of course toward the end he points out that he gave us highlights and that he “had the most fun!”, yeah Dwight that was the issue, you’re all about “fun”. To Lakers fans, winning is fun.
Dwight Howard is an afterthought in the NBA right now but he really has a decent Hall of Fame resume.
How does this make sense if Brooklyn is saving money. Charlotte gets back less talent/production and more money overall in contracts. There has to be more to this. Right?
It makes sense for Brooklyn because Dwight is an expiring contract. They'll pay more this year, but get one less year of Mozgov so next summer they'll have a lot of money to spend. Charlotte sheds about 8 million and now they're not in danger of the luxury tax which would be disastrous for them: a luxury tax team that's not a competitor? In a small market? Yikes! That being said, you'd think Charlotte could find more than that. I think that's a testament to how little Dwight Howard is thought of around the league.
