Without the "you people" vibe to go along. Or "mouth breathers" smack from me.

My biggest issue with reality TV is the fact that it never is reality. They are all scripted just like our news and information shows. The news programs where people yell at each other are all staged. I actually talked to TJ Simers a few months ago (he's actually a really nice guy), and he said they were constantly yelling "conflict" into his earpiece when they wanted him to take the opposite side of an issue on Around the Horn, no matter how stupid the point would end up being. Sports is the only actual reality show on TV.

I keep telling my wife this. That Bachelor in Paradise show, they told 2 of the cast to get in the hot tub and mess around for a story line. Well, they did and a sexual act occurred. They had to stop filming...... or was that also part of the script? Hmmm.......

As for Ball in the Family, I'm hooked. Anytime I can see behind the scenes Laker related stuff, I'm watching.

Good to hear the two vets taking Lonzo under their wing are Larry and Brook.

I've heard the Lakers brass LOVES Nance. He's one of those Fox, Horry, Odom glue guys. You don't win championships without those guys.

For that to happen, he'll need two things going for him.

    1. Health - He's always having some sort of nagging injury keeping him from playing consistently.

    2. Become a specialist - Fox was the perfect 3 and D wing, tough no-nonsense player. Horry could hit open 3's, and always found himself at the right spot, at the right time. Odom was probably the most versatile player at his size at the time, on both ends of the courts. If Nance can work on his outside shot, I can see him falling into the Horry mold.

^^^ Nances shot looks broke to me. But he can be a hustle, defense, dirty work player while thriving in the locker room.

I really doubt his shot is ever reliable. Hope he proves me wrong.

This was before this off-season. He's been working on it a ton so we'll see this year if he reaps the benefits of all that hard work.

Even if he doesn't develop a shot, he has potential with his athleticism to contribute in other ways.

Perhaps, a la Rodman, if he can develop a mean streak defensively and on the boards and hustle.

nance's health concerns me. i love his game, even without the shooting. great fifth starter/high minute sub on a good team potential there.

    high hoop iq.
    tough.
    appropriately sized for his position.

I like Nance as much as anyone, but he is who he is. He might get slightly better in all areas of the game, but remember, he was also a 4 year senior. We're not talking about a 19 year old any more. I think his ceiling in the NBA would be a 2-3 year window as a decent starter/journeyman PF, or as a really solid backup you can count on for 55-65 games a year that's also a great locker room guy and glue guy.

I think expecting more is setting yourself up for disappointment.
