Miami forms its Big 3, Durant joins the Warriors after being recruited for a year, Hayward goes to Boston to play for his college coach, Paul gets recruited to Houston, all kinds of teams seem to be begging for Carmelo's services right now...yet the Lakers, who haven't made the playoffs since 2013, are being investigated for tampering with a player who didn't even wind up here. A guy from LA wants to play in LA? Better call the feds, guys.
Still think Bird was involved with a big f*** you to Lakers on the way out for Magic trying to get PG from him. Told owner and Pritchard to fight every way possible.
Lakers should have sued after basketball reasons but we took it like a champ... I don't think the NBA can afford to screw us again with this s***.
hahahahaha what a joke this is clearly a case of that loser kevin pritchard realizing how badly he messed up that entire situation and doing something to cover his sorry a**. i really don't think anything will come from this and to be honest, the NBA already effed the lakers over bigtime with basketball reasons, i don't see that happening again. especially not when you have every other team doing whatever the hell they want when it comes to recruiting players, forming superteams, etc
Pincus said the NBA can prevent the Lakers from signing Paul George if they're found guilty in this investigation. Wow smh.
If that happens and we'll just "move on" (like we did with the cp2 fiasco), i'll lose all the respect for Jeanie, Magic and Co.
This all but confirms to me that the Lakers make Pritchard's prick hard. He just can't get us out of his head. This is clearly a vendetta against us and he didn't want to accept the package of DRuss/Mosgov for George just to spite us and PG13. You look at the package Indy accepted and that package consisted of a huge contract commitment (Mos = Dipo) and a young player on a good rookie deal (DRuss = Sabonis). Either way, what a B move, Kevin. But in this whole entire process, the NBA will sit down with George and once again remind him of his Lakers connection. Screw Bird, Screw Britch, Screw Indy....can't wait for LA to screw this league. The Lakes are growing restless and the league can't do ish about it once we make a major splash in the 2018 FA pool. #TurnOftheTide BTW, who tampered with the thread title? I'm going to get Britch on you.
So what do they expect, someone from the Lakers, George, or his agent admit they talked to one another? Good luck.
Per ESPN's Woj and Ramona: There's no evidence. Britch is pulling off ComicSans 2.0 and he may have gotten some pointers from the Masterclown himself....since Bron is bout to do that to him again. Key point is that LA is in touch with George/Lebron via Randle & DRuss's agent and KCP/Klutch agency. Look for George/Bron to threaten to leave for nothing again, so instead will take the CP3 route and one or both will opt in to their player options and get traded to LA to retain their bird rights. Oh the irony...leveraging Bird with his own rights. No wonder he stepped down. Can't wait for this to happen next summer, so that Bird/Pritchard and Gilbert can be thrown under the Buss! #TurnOftheTide
Hahahaha this is freaking pretty of the entire pacers organization. I went on pacers forums to read their responses and most of them were embarrassed to be a pacers fan. Magic, Rob, Jeannie, George and Randle/Russell/George's agent and PG himself will easily deny all these reports. Kevin is a piece of s***, who deserves to be fired and never given another opportunity to run a team! Adam Silver loves Magic, as soon as Magic became president executive he invited him and Rob to learn about the NBA transactions etc. The pacers could have had dlo, mozgov and picks for George but their ego well Kevin's ego and perhaps even Birds ego got in the way of getting the better deal. #scumbags
They should investigate Pritchard on why he only got Victor effing Oladipo for Paul George Bunch of clowns.. They're not gonna find crap
This is pathetic on Indy's part. Worst case we can't sign George as a free agent, and that's what they want. Aside from that we can get fined or even lose draft picks. F*** Indy. We've been down for like 4 or 5 years now and the league loves it. The very threat of us starting to come up again scares them so bad they go to these lengths. This is the sort of thing that makes me actually want to sign LeBron so we become relevant again and the rest of the league starts to s*** their pants.
as if the pacers organization couldn't look any more pathetic than they did after how badly pritchard and bird messed up the PG13 situation pritchard is just mad because he got such a crappy return and bird is obviously still bitter over 85, 87, and 2000
