He's not very athletic, which I think will be a problem for him the same way it was for Huertas, who was also dubbed "The Brazilian Steve Nash". Meh, not impressed.
He's bigger than Huertas which helps, but they do both have a penchant for fancy passing. Teodosic is better though. I think he'll be a fun act for Clipper fans, but no I don't think he necessarily moves the needle a ton.
He needed to focus on just coaching. He made a horrible GM, and practically set the next guy up for failure with an empty cupboard of assets and lack of cap room lol.
I think if anyone should be concerned by this it's Austin Rivers. Daddy no longer in control of his NBA career.
I wonder if West put the bug in Ballmer's ear that the way they were structured wasn't a good set up?
Maybe, but Doc is spinning it as his idea. Either way, it's a good idea. The GM job is pretty complex, and you need a dedicated person if you are going to give yourself the best chance to develop a winning team.
that's a really diplomatic way to say that doc rivers was peter principled already as a coach and compounding it by giving him management duties completely negated the cp3 gift. but yeah, your way's nice. you feelin' alright, sirron? because what doc did to the clips is probably worse than what deng did to the lakers.
"peter principled already as a coach .... with also having management duties .... completely negating the cp3 gift" smack :Headbang: Couldn't have happened to a better organization or a better guy. Should they really STILL be ranked that many wins higher than the Lakers this year according to ESPN and most thinking??
sleep deprivation has softened my edges. peace out I saw a Deng Africa photo, so I had some work to do on it before I could sleep
The way people are reporting it is that Doc was straight up demoted. They announced this on a Friday afternoon in order to bury the story.
