Would it surprise you greatly if he was actually talking about the Lakers? I mean just a few games ago George tweeted about the Lonzo/Fox match-up that never was... He's clearly watching the SL...
I don't know, trying to pin down what he meant is hard. If he was talking about us he couldn't seriously go that far over a summer league title, right? I'd be more inclined to believe he was saying it in reference to what Kuzma accomplished in SL when there were really no expectations for him and he was happy for the guy. Or, seeing Magic all happy and talking about the Lakers being back.
I think it's extremely possible, if not potentially likely, that George is sub-tweeting at a LeBron level. I do think it's notable that George and Magic tweeted the same thing at different times in relation to one another. I agree it's not necessarily because the Lakers won a Summer League title, but it does look like the Lakers are at least back on the map. I don't know the number of games we're going to win, but we're going to be exciting to watch.
If George still has any interest in us at all, I'm sure he was at least aware that our young guys were in the summer league championship. He had to have known how his tweet would be interpreted. So I'm not sure if he's genuinely excited about the promise our youth showed, if he's just trolling, or both.
all PG needs to do now is tweet a pic of a pineapple and the conspiracy theorist will pop up everwhere
I think it's time to pivot the conversation a bit, but still in conjunction with the pineapple pizza... Beer and pizza...thoughts? While I'm not down with the pizza as much, the beer is actually quite refreshing.
