It is nice to see Ball on the bench laughing and joking with teammates and cheering the team on. He seems to have made fast friends with Kuzma, Hart and Ingram for sure. He must be a likable guy, teammates never have anything but good things to say, and I truly believe he got these guys buying in that team ball was the way to go and bought into his winning above all else attitude. 1 on 1 ball really stopped a few games in and this team started passing like crazy and at times looked like they'd played together for years. That's something I couldn't say about a SL team we've ever had, they always looked like a bunch of guys that just met.
Leadership. What the Magic Man wanted he got it. When your PG's number one focus is to make his teammates look good how can you hate the guy?
Can we rewind to the first game of Summer League when everyone was killing Lonzo? What a difference a week makes.
My reaction what if he shot 6-12.. What that first mean that much of a difference. People are quick to jump the gun.. In a negative way is beyond me lol.
Ball Summer League MVP...led in assists. He probably could drop dimes on the cafeteria lady, the croupier or the valet if they were on floor. Just vaping...
I honestly just thought he shot bad & forced a few passes.. I watched him a lot at UCLA, so I was not concerned at all after one Summer League game.. But yeah, some folks had their pitchforks & torches out already.
I asked this in Gametime when first announced and was ignored. Bleep all of you. ..... in reality none of us probably know the answer. Unless they wanted to save a separate MVP for the championship game as well. Worked out terrific for the Lakers. Suck on it Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. See you during the season.
How is Sessions still available? He must want more money than we can offer. Otherwise I'd sign him in a second.
I was thinking the same. Other than that, I'd still prefer a younger guy like Ian Clark over the other names on the list.
