Another key date to keep a look out for. If Oct. 31st comes and goes, that means there is a good chance the FO doesn't see Randle in their future plans, cause that is the deadline for LA to offer Randle an extension. We also know he shares the same agent as George so obviously we've been in contact with Randle's representation.

If he's not part of the plans moving forward, we'll due his agent another solid and try to deal Randle to a preferable location like we did with DLo to Brooklyn. But its better to gain some sort of asset for him, rather than just pull our QO like Detroit did with KCP and the Spurs did with Simmons.

If he's part of the core, then we better extend him, cause it would be cheaper to do that than rather wait till he gets to unrestricted free agency.

I personally think he's gone. I would rather ride with Ingram, Kuz and Nance giving us minutes at the 3 and 4...with possible help on the way in 2018.

At least this coming year we should really know for sure if Randle is going to be anything. Contract year, we see he's putting in a ton of work on his body, and reports just came out that he and Luke has been going over footage/film of Draymond Green. I know he's still young and can develop past this year, but if we're going to see a jump it should be this coming year and for good reason.

Make it or break it year for Randle if he wants to stay with the Lakers long term. Fair or not.

Even if we don't extend him by Oct. 31st which I'm more than sure that we won't because we want as much room and cap flexibility as possible it doesn't mean we don't want him in our future plans and it would just mean that he's be a Restricted FA in Summer 2018.

I can already see if this pans out and Randle does become a Restricted FA in Summer 2018 like I expect him to be teams could really put us in a tough spot by offering him a big offer sheet knowing that we'd then have 48 hours to decide if we want to match or not and we'd have to also figure out if we can land LBJ and or PG. Sucks but imagine that a team does this and we allow Randle to go to because we believe we're getting LBJ or PG but we end up not getting either and now we just lost Randle for nothing. Scary but thats worst case scenario and I don't see this happening.

If he's an RFA and a team offers more than we are willing or can afford to pay with whom all we're trying to sign ..... can Randle then no longer take less, still, if he wants to give the hometown discount to be part of it all? Like has been mentioned LBJ may do if he wants to hook up badly enough here in L.A. with someone else?

If Randle signs an offer sheet, it is essentially a contract. So Brooklyn could offer him 4/107 million, but Randle doesn't have to take it. If he does sign that offer sheet, the Lakers would simply allow him to go and that offer becomes a contract.

He's crazy good. Maybe the steal of the draft

I don't want to hear any of that "it's just Summer League" stuff. Every player plays in Summer League. It's a good indicator of where he will be in a few years. Kuzma is going to be a Reaaalllllyy good player in this league.

This guy..wow. Summer league, sure, but he has skills that will translate. He's smart, he cuts well, he runs the floor super fast, he can pass, better defender than I thought, better rebounder than I thought, and right now anyway, his 3 point shot is money. I'm gonna stop questioning Rob, Magic and co on draft night and give each pick time to play before I crap on their picks. If you stuck Kuzma on the C Bags in Tatum's place, they wouldn't be complaining that he was taken 3rd based on both player's summer league play. Whether that translates to the regular season is a different matter, but for right now, it's damn impressive.

I like what Luke said during the in game interview, he's the vocal leader out there on defense.

Too early to claim steal of the draft? Props to the scouting department on this one. Wow.

His skill level for a rook is impressive. His bball IQ is impressive. His instincts are on point. He can shoot, finish, is decent on D. I'm sold. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up starting for us at some point this year.

If kuzma was playing on Kentucky or Duke he would have been a top 10 pick.

@sirronstuff we need that gif of magic and Rob doing back flips for the kuzma pick

Dude is a steal. You give me that type of effort and production and the boss is calling you 'his man" from Flint...yep this guy was for sure on our radar and he's delivering.

Jesse Buss and our scouting dept are no joke. And we had some turnover in that dept once Rob & Magic came on board. I'm just disappointed that we don't have a 1st round pick in 2018. Aw well, lets start hoarding those 2nd rounders then, cause our scouts will just find another steal next year.

What's amazing is we haven't seen what Hart can do, what if he's just as good as Kuzma. Our team if very exciting. Kuz is a mix a Robert Horray and Lamar Odom. Very versatile, just needs to continue to get stronger and work on his handles
