Basically reaffirms what was said to Spears in the SI interview.

George would love to come home and play in Los Angeles, but if they have a great season in Oklahoma City he's not likely to walk away.

Does anyone think he's playing up the "coming home to LA" factor to increase his image and sell more stuff?

Let's just say he's aware that's incidental to all this PG coming to LA talk.

No. Paul George wants to win above all else.

He'll sign with whatever team offers him the best opportunity to win whether that's the Oklahoma City Thunder or Los Angeles Lakers remains to be seen.

Your first and second thoughts don't seem to mesh well Purp. So you're saying George is less likely to come, but Klutch agency and Nike are starting to prepare for LA? So you're saying George isn't coming, but people are getting ready for it anyway?

    it's a business

It we are doing business the right way and building a winner, there is no better place for him to be. If we fail in that pursuit, he should make a wise business decision for himself and put him in the best possible situation to succeed and take advantage of the limited career window these guys have to the greatest possible degree.

Sorry if that was a little confusing. I'm basically subscribing to the idea that LeBron will be coming here. I think that in it's own is a deterrent for Paul George coming here, I don't think LeBron wants to log in heavy minutes at the 4, nor Paul George. LeBron and Klutch will want to manipulate as much of the situation as possible, and I can see chosen one's plans not including Paul George.

On a quick google search I see that George is represented by CAA. Doesn't seem like he's a banana-boater either (*gag*). From a basketball sense LBJ + PG seems a little redundant, and if LBJ indeed comes here, he'll basically be constructing this team to defeat the Warriors. Considering all the moving pieces, that's why I think the probability has gone down.

Or maybe I'm reading into the tea leaves way too much. Either way, welcome to the summer y'all

Gotcha. Personally, I think both are coming, but I'm thinking at least one ends up here as long as Ingram and Lonzo look like the real thing. If they follow through on these early returns, things are going to heat up quickly. Even if someone ends up on the bench or out of position, I think everyone comes through. LeBron might not want to play a lot of four, but I believe he will if the team makeup is right.

Either way, we'll see. So far Rob and Magic have had a great summer. There's not too much else they can do at the moment, but a nice backup PG would be great.

I don't think he's feeding OKC pipz any impression that he's staying. Indy folks are still hurting evidently and I understand. PG was probably their biggest star ever and no matter how slow or fast the process was, they'll feel the same.

Gotta agree with GS turning that down. Real life isn't fantasy sports, while PG is a better individual player, you don't f*** with the core/culture when you're winning. The only team that can beat GS in the foreseeable future is GS themselves. We learned this firsthand back around 2004.

Quote taken from the podcast (around 20:13 mark)

It was Indiana that offered PG for Klay, not GSW offering Klay. Big difference.

Ahhhhh ... The article made it seem like Golden State offered Thompson and that Indiana turn them down. My fault!
