Another thing is how low key he is on the court.

Nothing really affects him, or that we haven't seen yet. A bad call, a foul, he just keeps goin', next play.

I get that Ingram vibe from him, they seem to gel nicely together.

Yeah they got the kobe/kawhi in them. This is so great. Really. We get to see the team grow as we get new toys next year.

Individual accolades, I just want Lonzo to win ROY and somehow burst onto the scene where fans will vote him into a starting spot in the ASG ... yes long shot but you never know.

ROY so he can stick it to Simmons and Embiid

When guys actually watch this kid play, and they aren't judging him on the silly stuff his dad says, they're going to be won over. He's not out there talking trash, acting cocky, saying he's the greatest and he's going to dunk on fools or something. He's even tempered on the court, he just goes out and plays. He makes awesome passes, but he's not even being fancy or flashy about it, he makes good basketball plays, more often than not the right play. When other players watch his actual game out there, or are playing against him and see he's not Lavar, he's going to earn their respect. Of course some will still want to go at him, dunk on him, whatever, and they should, but as many have said, that's good, it will make him better.

I mean..might not be wrong. We're talking Kobes vs some no name brand that was barely created. I don't know if he still does, but Kobe used to work with Nike to make his shoes light, comfortable, the best they could be for what he needed to do. The BBB shoes look decent enough, but I doubt they had a team of experts behind them like Nike did for Kobe's shoes.

Is BS a point guard or a power forward? Fultz and him might have some issues but if he embraces the Lamar Odom role I think he'll find a niche.

Bill Simmons said as much. Grant Hill might have a better career if he signed with Nike since they really customize shoes to players' needs with advance tech in fabricating shoes to ensure that it's compatible to player's movements and the like.

A couple of things I liked about tonight:

-Lonzo slips on a pair of Nikes and the world goes insane. One of the benefits of being a BBB athlete, I guess - you can wear other gear! LOL. I am now 100% on the Lavar train. I have no idea if this was Lavar's intentions or master plan. Either way he's leaving simple minded folks to live and die in the hype machine. Meanwhile, his kid crushes it on the court, puts on a gritty comeback win. Yes, yes, it's just summer league. But leading a comeback is probably the only meaningful scenario in a summer league game, and Lonzo performed well. He deserves credit.

-Saw Lonzo hit top speed more times tonight than the first 2 games. He is a great athlete. Seems like he spent a lot of time initially in a half-speed trot, always looking for guys at half court or the first 1/3. Tonight he turned on the jets and got into space. I think people were surprised.

-Showed he has the beginnings of finishing in the paint, in a pressure situation no less. Once he gains muscle, he will pick his spots consistently and smartly. I worry less and less about him getting to the rack the more I watch.

Minor things that kinda bugged me:

-Ainge is either super smart or a giant, lucky SOB. There is a scenario where we watch Lonzo light up the C Bags for the next 15 years for passing up on him. We'll have to settle on Lonzo crushing Philly for 15 years, while their star players tweet from the sidelines.

-Ben Simmons broke his glass feet wearing Nikes. He needs to stay in his lane. Where do I know Ben Simmons from? That's right, NOWHERE. Play a game or GTFO

So what shoes was Ben Simmons wearing when he broke his foot last year?

Checking out LG to see what they're saying about Ball after tonight as they seem much more split on the kid over there, came across a couple posts they shared from other team's fans that were too good not to post here too.

From what I've seen, Sixers fans have been hating on Ball especially hard, so that post was refreshing. And damn it would be awesome for the C Bags to regret passing on Ball years from now. Got a long way to go, but this is fun for typical summer overreactions. :D
