I'm not entirely sure, but another interesting layer I just realized that ties in to the Lebron connection: this signing was broke by Brian Windhorst who I'm pretty sure has close ties with Lebron. Not sure if Windhorst broke another signing all summer.
The Pope is in the building. Props to Magic and Rob, UUUGE signing this late in FA for what we were offering.
He guards pg's very very good, can contain players like Kyrie, Westbrook, cp3, Curry, Wall etc.... He maybe a streaky shooter but his defense is elite
Best player available right now at the guard spot we desperately needed to add to. It had started to seem impossible to add anyone of quality to our roster on a 1 year deal, but we did it. Now we have our starting SG, he plays defense, and he isn't a terrible shooter. This makes us better, and it keeps the 2018 plan intact, it's a major win.
Brons childhood friend/ manager has other clients. By signing one of them, many feel we're building relationships with powerful agent / agency and they'll be more inclined to grow together in LA. TLDR: Bron to LA next year.
Finally! We get a starting SG! Welcome KCP! edit: just a side note, he's suspended 2 games for a DUI, so we have to wait a tiny bit in the reg. season to see him in the backcourt with Lonzo
As you can tell i pretty much liked everyones post lol.. Hope this signing unites Lakers nation! (Travis Scott voice) YEAH-YEAH...... STRAIGHT UP. P.S-Brewer has value IMO, especially around trade deadline.
