Not sure why this matters, players spend half the season travelling the country, usually only really spending a few days at a time in their home city. And in the off season they all live in LA or NY. That's not a huge make or break really in this day and age anymore...

you're really downplaying that factor. As the years wear on, I'm sure most players appreciate the comfort of home versus traveling. Now that home is OKC? I've never been, but I can imagine it's not a place a lot of NBA players want to spend 6-7 months per year.

I'm a rich NBA player that grew up just outside of LA County ... now I play for OKC but I have the chance of getting paid this summer to play in my hometown .... you best believe I'm going to stay in OKC so I can hit by a cow in a tornado!!

Now read that again... doesn't that just sound outright silly and stupid?

Doesn't sound too promising. Really hope the Lakers have a backup plan because it sure doesn't sound like Paul George is hell bent on signing with the Lakers next summer.

Doesn't it though? Was George supposed to say he's hellbent on the Lakers at his OKC introductory press conference? All the credible media says he has his eye on LA. Bomani Jones was joking around and said as much on PTI today, something like "everyone in the know aside from Paul George himself is saying Paul George is going to LA".

And i seriously think he already has some serious interest from someone to join him which led for him wanting to come here a no brainer.

after watching Westbrook chuck the ball up about 35 times a game, PG will go back to 'no comment' when asking about his future in OKC

I'm not trying to antagonise. I just don't think where players live during the season is that important. In years gone by they didn't earn as much so they usually lived in the offseason in the same place - today they all live wherever they want in the off season.

Also large markets were more of a factor in years gone by, due to the stage spotlight they could get. In today's age, social media bridges a decent amount of the large market spotlight and their audience has direct contact to them.

Lastly, I've heard all these things before about Dwight, Derozan, Love, LMA, Melo etc etc. LA as a destination is a cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. We need to get the cake going by getting to the playoffs to be a legitimate FA candidate. It's a process, one which I'm optimistic we'll make. I'm just not totally sold that we'll be signing free agents like hot cakes until we got something here worth coming to, I think FA's most important factor is to be part of a successful organisation and to win at the end of the day.

We haven't been a successful organisation (all the in fighting) since Dr Buss passed away, I am hopeful and optimistic we are on our way back however.

I think the dynamic duo of Jimbo and Mitcho had a lot to do with it.

Did anyone really think PG would come here if another top FA wasn't committing as well...?
There's a long list of A -List FAs next Summer. Not worried at all by this Headline.
