Yeah and especially in that Summer League environment, there's nobody who can defend him anyway! Just give him the ball and let him do what he needs to do. I'm still eager to see he and Ball continue to mesh though. There were times in the second game when Ball would pass to Nwaba who had an open three, but hesitated and I couldn't help thinking "man Ingram would have hit that shot".
The only weakness in Brandon's game is probably going to be his 3-point shooting. It will get there, but it might take another season.
No doubt. But he's still getting pushed around on D a bit. His length and hustle make up for it, but he's still too thin to hold his spot when he has to defend the post.
He has a couple of more months of strength and conditioning, but I think he's stronger than he looks. Was watching Kobe's first game on YouTube the other day - Swear it didn't remind me some of Ingram of his game the other night. Not saying Ingram is Bryant -
Keep in mind this is Ingram's 2nd dance already, but I'm with you. Ingram in that game looked like a different guy. Hell he looked like a different guy than we even saw at the end of the season. Ingram was reading the defense, finding his spots on the floor, attacking at different angles. I can definitely see what you're talking about. Maybe Ingram already worked out with Kobe and we just haven't heard about it yet because the kid we're seeing now seems to have something burning in him.
Yes. 2nd dance at 19.... I want to an ability to start to draw FT's, though, this year. Also, an underrated player-maker. Anyway, back on topic to Lonzo and everything related to BBB.
RD was definitely not a rookie/soph in 2008. The only thing I came across was Ramon Sessions had a near Triple Double in 2008.
What they mean that it is the first to ever been recorded, with the stipulation that they started recording it in 2008.
Does Kidd mean it's a great compliment for himself to be compared to Ball? Or a great compliment for Ball to be compared to Kidd? Because one way is very humble and the other way is pretty narcissistic (even though it's true). I think I know which way he meant it... Still it's amazing to see the kind of attention this kid is getting. Kidd stuck around to watch him play when he didn't have to. Baron Davis chimed in meaning he likely watched Ball's first game. It's incredible the amount of attention the kid is getting and how he's handled it so far is impressive for a 19 year old kid.
