You keep saying he is a poor defender and I disagree. Regardless. He is going to be light years ahead of Marshall in that department. He is also much much more athletic than him.

In fact I think he is already a good team/help defender. Multiple excellent sequences from him.

Seriously though he's not the type of player that's expected to break down defenses in the half court. He usually makes a quick entry pass and moves to his spot. And Luke will set him up with screens so I'm not concerned at all.

Yeah, that's fine. I'm not concerned about it. I seen Ingram for 1 game drop 26 points rather easily, and I think he makes a big enough leap in his 2nd season; along with the Lopez addition have me thinking this team can be more competitive than I thought. Of course, Ball will help, too - pace will be top 5 (efficiency should go up offensively, too), easier buckets, and etc.

I agree. Shame we couldn't get George this year though.

Please stop using Kendell Marshall with anyone on our team. This is like the 3rd time I have heard Kendell Marshall comparisons. Kendell Marshall is a G Leaguer who is an 11 or 12 on a team, if that.

Lonzo Ball has show me so far that he can be as good as Rondo was before he turned into an idiot. His ceiling is Jason Kidd. I want the C Bags to have regretted not drafting Ball in 3 years.

You know whats great about having a pass first superstar on your team? Even the selfish players will want to play for you and run the offense the ay it's suppose to. You think Kuz has 30 points last night without Ball feeding him? No. You could see the body language in knowing he was gonna keep getting the Ball. Kuz might be the best shooter we have on the team next year, hahah. That kind of shooting is what I thought Anthony Brown was gonna give the Lakers a few years ago.

He is a poor defender when it comes to getting screened or getting broken down by fast penetrating guards, you saw it in the 1st gm. He is good at reaching n stripping players though

Please stop using one of the best PGs ever, a lockdown defender, as Ball's ceiling. He's HoF, maybe top two positional defender at the 1 ever.

    See how this sounds?

The difference I see in Lonzo vs Marshalls passing game is the way they affect the offenses.

Marshall is more of a half court, pick and roll type of passer, whereas Lonzo is pace driven, transition style of play where it becomes contagious with the team, which we see a lot of already with the team.

A lot of our Summer League players aren't used to this type of uptempo style and will have an adjustment period as Magic has alluded to. In order for Lonzo to start hitting guys, he has to know where everyone is going to be on offense, and it looks like he already has that with Kuzma.

Cant go fast every possesion, he better add something to half court, not that we need to worry bout playoffs yet but when that happens gms slows down alot

The difference is that yours is pessimistic and gloom. Ours is optimistic and happy.

Or we're both trying to be accurate, you disagree with my view, and want to silence it. That's f***ed up.

Why does anyone need to stop making these comparisons to please you? If you don't want your opinion on Ball silenced, why are you trying to silence others? Anyone should be able to say whatever they want here as long as it's not a personal attack, or baiting/spamming/trolling. I'm sorry you feel persecuted right now trodgers, but man am I sad about the levels you've taken it to. This board is in a sad state of affairs at the moment, with the fanbase needlessly divided, and further taking sides every day before we've even played a single game that matters.

It's all good, Weezy. No one needs to change for anyone, but this site clearly isn't for me. Wishing you a good season.

Really? All I am saying is that if I were to be wrong, I'd prefer to be optimistic.

6th in pace 24th in Offensive Efficiency. That will improve this year. And I'm sorry if Nance or Randle aren't hitting their shots or playing defense, Kuzma should be getting time on the floor, period. Ingram was 29% last year - he needs to get better. Ball needs to hit his, too.
