I don't think it's ok to speak about senior citizens that way.

    It's......Unsavory?

Well, based on his listed age, I'm his elder. Based on who was present for more actual rotations of the earth, he could be my Dad.

I agree with the clear and true observations posted about how Deng took the money and sat. Unprofessional, while we tried to turn a corner he diversified his portfolio into potato chips, bon bons and pork chops.

Too bad he saw the ink drying on his contract as the end of the marathon instead of the final leg.

It took a lot for me to forget about Steve Na$h, but Lol "the boob" Dung is the biggest bust since Pamela Anderson.

I was disappointed when we signed Mozgov and Lin (but hoped for the best). Deng I was unsure about, but I had at least seen clips of him making corner threes and doing good things in Miami.

I predict his play this year will justify our current title.

Deng shouldn't be compared to Nash. Nash worked his butt off to come back and play. He really, really tried. His body finally failed him.

Nash is a warrior that couldn't go on.

    Deng is a lazy thief.

As for deng, why even bother having him here making negative impact on the court? We already know he wasn't the mentor we hoped for either, just send him home with pay, I'm sure if he had any pride he'd ask for a buy out if that were to happen but I expect him to just chill at home and watch highlights of his hayday and eating bon bons Peggy style

Nash was a warrior for most of his career. His physical gifts pale (no racism intended) in comparison to so many other players. By virtue of this his making the NBA was not a given. As such it took Herculean effort, conscientious and steadfast diligence to training. He was a legitimately intelligent (bball iq and outside bball), charismatic and humorous character who was a wonderful team player who could inspire and hold high standards without being a tyrant. As a player he was astonishing and a delight to watch. His passing and shooting was phenomenal and reflects on how much effort he made. Nash was always one of my favorite players outside the Lakers to watch.

He (probably, jk) did not intend to get injured early on in his Laker's career. As such I and all of us got to miss a minor great what if, about how he would have gelled with Kobe.

May I just say I am salty AF about the way it ended. I watched every game I could when Nash when I was playing, and the couple of things he did well are colored by him limping (literally) across the court busting a gut to cross halfway and beat the eight seconds violation. My feelings above are why it was so painful. We had just escaped death by coming out (so I thought) as well as if not better (so I thought) from the basketball reasons nixing to get Nash and Howard, while keeping Pau.

What I will say is that I believe Nash's last gasp, was to get a full contract validated and to beat Magic Johnson's assist total by one assist. And that is my enduring memory of Na$h as I call him in the Lakers. Would I have done what Nash did - yes, (hopefully not to the Laker's) but that does not make it better. I contend that for the last shudder of his career, Nash looked after Nash and not his team. He knew he should not play, or at worst was delusional (it reminds me of Boxers needing that last stinker of a match to send them out with no doubts such as Ali Holmes or Ali Berbick or any of those horrible curtain calls or those final Sugar Ray Leonard bouts). The golf games, the football, the pious comeback and not wanting to come into practice with the youth. I did not buy it, and that is the sad bookend of Steve Nash for me in every other regard a basketball legend.

Lakers Nash is comparable to Laker Deng for this reason, my true disappointment. Basketball Nash compared to Basketball Deng, I agree F Deng and Danny Ferry's crude idiotic and racist way of explaining Deng was a trickster be damned.

I wonder if luol plans on retiring after his contract or in a contract year hell actually put that work in.

He probably gets traded next off season.
Whats the max Randle can get on his next deal. Id love to lock him up at 12 million...i got confidence hed earn that especially with all these deals going on.

In this market Randle is worth $15+M/year already.
