Smiling ear to ear. I feel like this is PG to the Lakers lite. I don't know what would be a better result other than being traded directly to the Lakers. Maybe being traded to Sacramento or something lol OKC can't even keep PG next season because they don't have the cap space, and PG gets to audition Westbrook to see if they mesh well together before both of them leaving for the Lakers in 2018 You couldn't make this s*** up
Peeps are really blowing things out of proportion. But this one's legit. Sent from my E6533 using Tapatalk
Some thoughts. Pacers once again show their incompetence. Couldn't even get a pick for him. Meanwhile the Lakers offered TWO first round picks in the deepest draft in years. They also had a chance to get what turned out to be the #1 pick in the draft at the trade deadline from the C Bags which means they could've had their choice of Fultz or Lonzo Ball which is funny considering they'd been so adamant about the Lakers offering the #2 pick. It's a no brainer trade for OKC because that team wasn't going anywhere in the West and even if George and Westbrook both bolt they clear themselves of a terrible contract in Oladipo. Highly doubt George stays though. They're at best the fourth best team in the West behind the Warriors, Spurs, and Rockets. Other teams in the league were so terrified George was gonna sign with the Lakers in a year they weren't willing to give up more for him. Good day for us Laker fans. Magic didn't take the bait. He dared the Pacers to send George elsewhere knowing in all likelihood he's coming to Los Angeles in a year and didn't give up any assets and George didn't end up being traded to a team that could've been a serious threat to win a title and thus potentially convince George to stay like the Rockets, C Bags, or Cavaliers.
I just found out that OKC actually saved money in this trade as well and IND took back more money. Both Victor and Sobonis make more than PG. IND is such a joke
Presti is going to make another solid move soon, doesn't guarantee PG stays but I doubt Presti made this trade thinking thats all he needs
Not with PG and Westbrook. I don't think they can afford them both right now and they aren't in a good position for trades or freeing ups salary.
